You are wasting your time Steve. The ukram mods never stop this kind of
post but have no problem inventing reasons to stop perfectly reasonable
posts.
One has only to look at all those "my campervan does more mpg than your
campervan" type of posts that got through. An astute observer could be
forgiven for thinking someone was trying to ruin the group....
That is what happens when you have poor moderators.  Compare the
dire state of ukram with RSGBTech. Not only is the latter abuse free, it
has a steady stream of on topic posts
You let your prejudices cloud your judgement, such as it is, as in
RSGBTech is moderated 'to ensure that the questions are on topic', but
the group's own admissions policy mention (a pre-) 'vet', 'known',
'trouble', and 'maker', but not the vetting policy!

None of these are 'moderation' issues, and none are mentioned in the
RSGB's Guidelines that the group is supposed to follow.....

UKRA added.

"RSGBTech is meant for everyone", or so the RSGB says. The group is
moderated 'to
ensure that the questions are on topic', but the group's own admissions
policy mention
(a pre-) 'vet', 'known', 'trouble', and 'maker', but not the vetting
policy! None of these are
'moderation' issues and none are mentioned in the RSGB's Guidelines.....

We could always have a surrogate argument provided we can remember what
each other said in 1996 so we can bring it up as proof.
