I wondered that too (if you're suggesting what I think you might be).

On the other hand, I don't think a reluctance to party (basically, get
drunk and misbehave, as seemed to be being portrayed by the other two
[who were well on the way eve when they were pushing, IMO]) should be
construed as having any relevance in that respect. "Laddishness" is
something I've never liked.

Yes. And Johnny was not unreasonable, I thought, considering how many
times he said no and wanted to get back to his work and they kept
harassing him.

He certainly seemed very taken with the Karate Kid in the omnibus...and
I was *quite* surprised that there was not an immediate PSA on the lines
of 'Exercising Every Day is Not the optimum way to build Fitness - if you
have been afffected by this storyline...'

Don't knock the post-episode PSAs, at least on UMRA - I ventured to
suggest there might be slightly too many of them, and got jumped on.

I thought the advice we keep being given at present is to exercise at
least half an hour a day,so Johnny oculd be doing it right. And it
will be cheaper to have a few things set up in thebarn. Although I
expect his job covers the requirement for exercise daily, unlike many
people.

For a young farm labourer to join a gym seems like a mad waste of money to
me.

Ah, but we might be onto another Isshew. How about Johnny has body
dysmorphia?(sp?) It was brought on by the confidence- sapping incident with
Josh and Bella.

Oh please not. We had eating disorders and issues with Helen ages
ago, or do they have to do it regularly. Also apparently a large
number of small girls have body size issues, but then a large number
of children are apparently overweight. The ones I see in
granddaughter's primary school seem fine.

Althought 4 year old granddaughter is always starving when she comes
out of school. She has school dinners, paid for, and is vegan. The
puds are never vegan so she gets a piece of fruit and quite often the
meal contains jacket potato and veg.

GD#1 has had gut problems since infancy. She survives well on a gluten and
dairy free diet (which has helped) but is skinny as a rake since the diet
change. Her lively sister is a very fussy eater and seems to live mostly on
fish fingers, mini scotch eggs and pasta with pesto, not quite as skinny as
big sister but certainly not overweight.

Granddaughter is not plump, just right. Grandson the same really. He
used to take packed lunches, and she did in nursery until she came to
the nursery attached to this school. I think daughter had several
strong conversations with the cooks there last year when granddaughter
had jacket potato and baked beans most days, but apparently when he
did cook special vegan things she was not keen. She is less fussy now.
