Discussion:
What is this news group about?

I saw the address for soc.men on a cross posted subject and then I
subscribed to this group to see what it was.
Pardon my curiosity.

Could it be defined at all?, I asked myself after reading a few threads.

What does soc.men really mean?

Does it mean Society men? or sock it to the men, hit em with a feminyst
punch?

Or does it mean Social men, who don't need hitting by anyone,
surely not by feminists.
Does soc stand for "silly old c---" ( could be male or female.....)
Well ok, "silly old cowboy" then...

In other groups I partake, the name of the group implies the reason
for its existance, and anything discussed relates to that, and there is
no
need for a definition of purpose, because the name is the flag for the
ship.
Perhaps that is a very masculine thing, this definition of purpose,
but wheras there is an undefined purpose for being, and in fact if the
purpose for being is to exist undefined,
then it seems feminine.

From what I do see however, there is more expressed intelligence here
than the
one liner banalities I see so evident in groups elsewhere on the web in
the public discussion groups.
When I visit such groups I feel despondent about humanity, ( and
huwomanity )
although most such groups seem male dominated and by males capable of
very
limited comunication ability.

At least it appears some women hang out here.
But perhaps they to are men who have all addopted women's names, who
knows.

Somebody said here that the more intelligent a woman is, the less likely
it is that she'll marry.
Well of course, it means she is bright enough to survive on her own.
It also means that men don't like women smart enough to argue with them.

And thus intelligent women make men turn their gaze to the portugese
maid.
There is tremendous fear amoungst men out there of being seriously
ripped apart
when loves finally evolves into hate during a divorce settlement,
since intelligent women and smart lawyers have more potency than a
tsumi.

Probably many folks here come stained by life's accumulated experiences
to the present time,
but I think I am lucky to not have had to consider whether the portugese
maid
was more of a love option than my "wife".
I don't have a wife, or a maid. I tried the former once, but she mistook

standing up to me for leaving me, a common mistake young folks make.
The latter is far too expensive, although here in Oz the maid is more
likely
to be a Filipino, and they'd think I am too old and poor to marry, but
if I was rich
they'd never notice my age.

Is there a entry form I have to fill out to enter this group?
Do I have to have had quite a few maids, gained several degrees and a
uni,
been married to one or more versions of Ms Illustrious & Marrylogically
Correct, and earned
lots of money to afford the leisure time to consider the issues and pay
lawyers fees?
Do I have to appear before a committee, or a damned tribunal to be
assessed for
a fit and proper person to yac on here about all this stuff?

It is about men's issues. Things that matter to MEN. However, Feminists
feel it is a great forum to HARASS and attack men in.

It is, after all, only what you make it.

What exactly does this mean :- "Nothing to you, for example are too dense and

Or should I expect that females talk in a language entirely incomprehensible?

I must be naive.

(What is a bot? short for bottom? so are farts "smarter, funnier, more
interesting".
Unfortunately, sometimes the the wind of the bottom outlet is often wiser and
wittier
than the wind of top outlet in homo sapiens.)

I find this thread is already cross posted to alt.usenet.kooks

I am again at a loss to understand what is a kook, so could someone direct
me to a URL with a dictionary of the latest developments in english
evolvements?

I doubt a kook is anyone who cooks dinner, and who is thus useful,
and a hunger remover.

I do like the jpg though, it parodies the mating game eh.

Lady Chatterly is not a human being. She is an artificial intelligence
program. Nevertheless she is more coherent than some of the feminists who
post here.

The word "bot" is derived from "robot". It refers to artificial
intelligence.

The word "kook" refers to a person who consistently writes irrational posts.
However, it is also used by people who are unable to argue effectively with
the points raised on soc.men concerning injustice towards men. Therefore
these people (who often call themselves kookologists) attempt to dismiss
soc.men posters as kooks rather than address their ideas.

Personally, I find the "kookologists" who post to alt.usenet.kooks to be the
useless ones and put them in my blocked senders list when they cross-post
into soc.men.

Chatter box, don't you mean.

I have applied for my robot to be available when I turn 70.
By then the Marylyn Monroe model 'bot will be about perfected, and able to take
me away on drives, shopping, do all the housework and also punch the shit out
of any aggressor.

My female friends with their "Arnie" model bots will be able to join me in the park
on sunday arvos, where we can amuse ourselves while the bots chase each other around the park
and smell each other's digits.

After that novelty has passed, I will be getting the brain trans-augmentation
with some hardware, which should improve my chess game and
allow me to remember where my MM bot went, so I will go a bit botty myself
if they let me.

It beats dying slowly alone and going potty.

Its like what we have here in nature.

We wake up some moring to kookaburras laughing at us from their

The kooks and the irrationalists, the whole variety are drawn to the web,
its the easiest way to agrandisement, the force which drives blokes and sheilas,

Are you high?

Let's review soc.men's "ideas":

- Killing women is an award-worthy act.
- Rape victims deserve it.
- 'If she's old enough to bleed, she's old enough to breed'
- Men are permanently damaged by infant circumcision, in spite of the
wealth of evidence showing that circumcision reduces the rate of penile
cancer, STD infection, and that there are literally billions of
circumcised men on the planet who have no problem whatsoever with their
sex lives.
- Lack of evidence of a feminist conspiracy to control men is, in and of
itself, evidence of a feminist conspiracy to control men.
- Any man who loves women must hate himself
- Any woman who is not servile and deferential to men must be a ball-
breaking castrating lesbian whore

Now I ask you in all seriousness:

What, in the above, do you *not* find worthy of dismissal as rank idiocy
and/or profound social maladjustment and/or kookery?

I have seen good cases made for almost all of the points you list. Of
course, people arguing for these things are likely to express them more
persuasively than the straw man versions you use here.

Mmmm, yeah, that Bob sure is a persuasive one. Why, when he suggested
that a fifteen year old girl deserved to be gangraped and thrown to her
death, I had to build a strawman in order to disbelieve him.

Personally, I find the "kookologists" who post to alt.usenet.kooks to
be the useless ones and put them in my blocked senders list when they
cross-post into soc.men.
You're lying, Jayne. It's been a couple of years now since I wrangled the
lot of you losers in soc.men into being the first Usenet group to win,
enmass, the Kook of the Month Award.
Yet you replied to my post just a week ago or so.
Spoogie - you and your fellow IDIOTS in AUK seem NOT to understand that YOU
GUYS are the Usenet KOOKS! You are on the AUK reservation for a reason.
Being a KOOK, you lack the intellect to figure out that YOU are the monkeys
in the cage. Sort of like a Twilight zone episode. Only YOU guys NEVER
figure it out. You keep bestowing honors on others that YOU nuts deserve for
yourself.
What a collection of PATHETIC LOSERS!
You sure seem very nervous with all those caps and that. And, no, AUK is
not a group for kooks, but "about" kooks, just like you.
Seems Kenny Kakes has been on a mission ever since he won his latest
Kook award, November usenet Clueless Newbie of the Month. You know,
for losing a 2 month flame war with a piece of software.
Yeah, I sure remember the huge amout of entertainment it has generated!

I saw the address for soc.men on a cross posted subject and then I
subscribed to this group to see what it was.
Pardon my curiosity.
Could it be defined at all?, I asked myself after reading a few threads.
It is about men's issues. Things that matter to MEN. However, Feminists
feel it is a great forum to HARASS and attack men in.
Nothing to you, for example are too dense and do our own thing.
Post by krp
It is, after all, only what you make it.
Any questions
What exactly does this mean :- "Nothing to you, for example are too dense and
do our own thing."
Or should I expect that females talk in a language entirely
incomprehensible?

Unfortunately, sometimes the the wind of the bottom outlet is often wiser and

I find this thread is already cross posted to alt.usenet.kooks
I am again at a loss to understand what is a kook, so could someone direct

I doubt a kook is anyone who cooks dinner, and who is thus useful,
and a hunger remover.

are many
But you won't get to actually meet any of them, and if you did, you may
not like them as much.

Its cyber friendship, and many posts are ignored.

Please advise us on the name of the cult you speak of, their philosophy and

Or are you the leader of the "PAC" cult attempting to glorify yourself at

You know what is funny about Chatterly the Bot - is that it originated from
the PUNKS in The KOOKS newsgroup who REALLY THINK they are superior to
everyone else on the net and that Chatterly's invocation PROVES how much
smarter and more evolved they are than ANYONE else. They just don't seem to

this delusion of superiority for years. There is NO hope they will see just
how IMMATURE they really are!

Ah well, if that's what they want to do to us instead of pleasuring us,
then we don't need to worry that the females concerned end up all
bitter and twisted like Germaine Sneer.

The feminists I have known, and who did for awhile become my lover expected me
to endlessly pleasure them,
indulge them, be supportive, and agree with them, but they still seemed to be
selfish brats
who could never be satisfied or pleased for long by anyone.
They face a lonesome old age.
Sure some men are bastards, and they deserve the agro they get, but some of
the feminists are just
plain bitches.

I have always encouraged the women I have known to be independant and free
minded,
and to persue equal pay and respect.
None wanted to have a relationship with any man for longer than a year.

It takes real guts to last longer with anyone.

The trick is not to fall victim to the infection and start hating women
in return. Too bad a FEW here have become infected from some of the Fmeinazi
trolls who hang out here with that agenda.

Ah well, if that's what they want to do to us instead of pleasuring us,
then we don't need to worry that the females concerned end up all
bitter and twisted like Germaine Sneer.
The trick is not to fall victim to the infection and start hating women
in return. Too bad a FEW here have become infected from some of the Fmeinazi
trolls who hang out here with that agenda.
I love women who love men. The rest I avoid, but if they ask for it, i shoot at
them,
but I try not to waste bullets.

I try to lead my life to make ppl happier and better off, by trading with
others.

There haven't been many feminsists who have wanted to trade anything.
They ain't a big concern.
The ones who come at me with cudgels, brooms, wooden spoons,
or with long fingernails are easily sidestepped.
Most have got queer notions of love and eroticism,
and confuse assertion and confidence with agression and foolhardiness.
Its totally useless trying to argue.

When they have done their little tantrum to try to get something for nothing,
I usually offer freedom, and open a door, and they go out, and I can
get back to doing something more interesting, like reading a newspaper.

The feminists I have known, and who did for awhile become my lover
expected me to endlessly pleasure them,
indulge them, be supportive, and agree with them, but they still seemed to
be selfish brats
who could never be satisfied or pleased for long by anyone.
That's a problem generally with American women. Not just feministas.
Its a rampant characteristic of many women.
But then certainly not of all women.
Not my mum, who stayed for 35 years with my father till he died.
And I have figured I just never got to meet someone dedicated like her.

Anyway, I enjoyed what women I did bring close to my me while they were willing.

The rapture is far too rapturous to ignore, to resist, to beat down, so
one should give in to lust, allow the pleasure to flow, drink deep of her flesh,

but realize she may tire tomorrow, sour the day after, and pack her bags a week
later.

I still enjoy the sight and sound of females, i share my house with one, and I
love more of them than I hate,
and all that despite the complete stony hearted ignorance women my age show to
me on
the web based dating agencies I have lurked for a couple of years.

The web based dating opportunities are utterly mythical to me, and rather than
connect
men and women, it appears it keeps them damn well separated.
Of 80 local women i contacted, none replied to emails with a phone number, so
how rude is that.
Feminism is a dull word. It can mean to little.
I believe in women's right, equal pay, opportunities, and all those positive
things.
But I see ppl in terms of their virtues and vices, mental disorders, a word with
"ism"
on the end of it don't always sum a person up.
I'd be happy with someone who believed in communism, as long as they didn't ram
it down my neck.

They face a lonesome old age. Sure some men are bastards, and they deserve
the agro they get, but some of
the feminists are just plain bitches.
Well my first wife went through 10 husbands before she croaked. My
second wife is now on her second after me (that makes 4 and counting).
My mum had just 1 man only. She never rooted another.

My one ex-wife went on a fuckathon around Oz after leaving me, but
she felt suicidal afterwards she later confided.
I have no idea where she is now.
I never re-married.
I have got to here without going through all those traumas which so many other
dudes suffered.
Not always because of the woman. Some deserved all the shit that copped from
their other half.

I have always encouraged the women I have known to be independant and free
minded, and to persue equal pay and respect.
None wanted to have a relationship with any man for longer than a year.
God - my first wife was a helpless dependent. Nothing is worse. My
second wife was very independent until she cracked up a few years ago. We
lasted 22 years.
Value what was good, rather than dwell on the negative.

I could complain about how feckless most of the women I have known were.
But I selected them, so its no use complaining.
I got to now without paying alimony, without hating women,
without shooting all the femo crappos.

It takes real guts to last longer with anyone.
I have been with my second wife now for a bit over 2 years. We are
actually MORE in love now that a year ago or 2 years ago.
Love is a many splendered thing, and its path is a surprise.
I've known little of it, but I sleep well.

It is, after all, only what you make it.
No, its what we make it.
Yes you are right.
Loving is always a liability, as it is a pleasure, so if I get another
25 years without it, then so what, that's life.
Work and health is more important.

Well if the said trash sinks with a gurgle, you get a point right?

But shit, what if you shot a river mermaid?
Its bad luck for ever after, and the score is 200 negative points.

My father, as a vet, and also a district mayor, once got a loan of a
friend's 22 to rid his vinyard of
birds attacking his grapes.
The third shot he made was at two birds perched on a branch.
The bullet shot off their tail feathers, and dissapeared into shrubbery.

Then it continued on and through a window pane, and past a painter's nose
while he worked
painting a room in the house next door, and left a hole as it buried itself
in the plasterwork.

Nobody found out about it, but my father came to the conclusion a 22 was
too dangerous to use
in a built up suburb, and his third shot was the last with a 22.

I was about 12, and grown men making idiots of themselves taught me not to
make a fool of myself.

What does soc.men really mean?
If you had bothered to have a look at how Usenet newsgroups are
designated, you'd have found that there are several types of
groups, based on content. There are science groups, which start
with " sci. ". There are " alternative " groups, which start
with " alt. ". There are social discussion groups, which start
with " soc. ".

So, you get such as " sci.military.naval ", " alt.support.divorce ",
and " soc.men " and " soc.women ".

Not quite. The more chip-on-her-shoulder-brainwashed-by-women's-studies
a woman is, the less likely she is able to not run off all the guys that
she meets. Consider " Sex And The City ", it's pilot episode, where
Miranda, the most " professional woman " of the leads, all but runs off
her date.

Not really, no. Feminism makes women unhappy. It has to, as if they
were happy, they wouldn't need to find some man to blame for their
poor lot in life.

Dead wrong. Again, words need to be better specified. Its one thing
to " argue " from a position of facts, and another thing to argue for
the sake of being contrary. Men appreciate the former, and run away
from the latter, as the latter indicates a harridan.

Nope. But, the regulars here tend to a couple of things: One, fact

Festering Femmeroids who come here to intrude.

If there is a " common " viewpoint on soc.men, it is that Feminism

Reading the group for a while, will help you determine who's serious

tends to indicate trolling, and non serious content. Especially is
an included newsgroup is " rec.arts.poems ", or " alt.usenet.kooks ".

Somebody said here that the more intelligent a woman is, the less likely

Not quite.
Statistics may be damned lies, but they indicate marriage is less practised by
women with high IQ.
It don't mean they have less sex, or have more boring social lives, or anything
very much at all.
Away from marriage, ppl are free to roam around and root at will if the target
is willing;
that suits the complex intelligence of a complex mind of somebody who
who considers 1,001 aspects pof the FQ, which is the fuckability quotient.
I have heard what my sisters say about the men they have met, and
a man has to be one in a thousand who meets their criteria.
Marriage? you have to be kidding.
Marriage for many these days is a small part of a life long hunt for personal
diversions.
The divorce rate is 50%, and what period does an average marriage last?
10 years? so between 16 and 76, there are 50 years where there is no
marriage.......
Not for all, but for 30% of women there will never be a marriage.

a woman is, the less likely she is able to not run off all the guys that
she meets. Consider " Sex And The City ", it's pilot episode, where
Miranda, the most " professional woman " of the leads, all but runs off
her date.
That TV show indicates the dysfunctionality of the ppl concerned,
the ridiculosities of life, the stupidity of the mating game.

But many manage some real pleasures with another person without all that BS.

Well of course, it means she is bright enough to survive on her own.
Not really, no. Feminism makes women unhappy. It has to, as if they
were happy, they wouldn't need to find some man to blame for their
poor lot in life.
I don't see your logic.
We are discussing women it seems, and with them, forgrt logic, they are
too varied, too un-pinnable downable to bother trying to figure them out.
One woman's empowerement by stripping at a pub on the bar is another woman's
idea of mental torture and all the guys deserve castrating.

The only thing that matters is either the one your'e with likes you or not.

No need to be her slave.

It also means that men don't like women smart enough to argue with them.
Dead wrong. Again, words need to be better specified. Its one thing
to " argue " from a position of facts, and another thing to argue for
the sake of being contrary. Men appreciate the former, and run away
from the latter, as the latter indicates a harridan.
Well, many men don't like argumentive women where it always ends up
in a tirade of insults and destructive BS. Its easier to chase the dumber not
so good looking easy to please type.
You'll spend less money time and effort reproducing one's genes that way
because you'll be able to work and play without being hassled by some
sheila always moaning about how you are, and demanding this and that,
and threatening to leave, and running you down, reminding you about your little
willy,
when in fact they have a large sloppy fanny... and so forth.
I've heard all that BS, and walked away from the voice everytime.
One cannot argue.
Spare me the drama queens, I hate them.

There some women or even some men whose arguments with their partners are to
gain the best solutions to all concerned.
Successful couples learn that's the way it has to be for happy survival,
and thus enjoy the best chances of successful breeding during 20 years of
closeness, and some extend it to 60 years together.
I know quite a few ppl like this.
They know how to relate.

There is a lot of animal instinct still dominating personal relations.

And thus intelligent women make men turn their gaze to the portugese
maid.
There is tremendous fear amoungst men out there of being seriously
ripped apart
when loves finally evolves into hate during a divorce settlement,
since intelligent women and smart lawyers have more potency than a
tsumi.
Probably many folks here come stained by life's accumulated experiences
to the present time,
but I think I am lucky to not have had to consider whether the portugese
maid was more of a love option than my "wife".
I don't have a wife, or a maid. I tried the former once, but she mistook
standing up to me for leaving me, a common mistake young folks make.
The latter is far too expensive, although here in Oz the maid is more
likely
to be a Filipino, and they'd think I am too old and poor to marry, but
if I was rich they'd never notice my age.
Is there a entry form I have to fill out to enter this group?
Nope. Usenet newsgroups work just by posting. Only on *moderated*
newsgroups, do you have to fill out a 'net form, in order to pass the
moderation entry test. Moderated groups have the word " moderated "
in their name.
I was only kidding about entry forms.....

Nope. But, the regulars here tend to a couple of things: One, fact

Reading the group for a while, will help you determine who's serious
about discussions, and who's not.
And the humerous? why would it matter if someone wasn't serious?

Since when was life supposed to be always serious, explainable, definable
catergorical, measured, sized, normalized, cut and dried, sealed and delivered,

I suspected all that.

I saw the address for soc.men on a cross posted subject and then I
subscribed to this group to see what it was.
Pardon my curiosity.
Could it be defined at all?, I asked myself after reading a few threads.
What does soc.men really mean?
If you had bothered to have a look at how Usenet newsgroups are
designated, you'd have found that there are several types of
groups, based on content. There are science groups, which start
with " sci. ". There are " alternative " groups, which start
with " alt. ". There are social discussion groups, which start
with " soc. ".
So, you get such as " sci.military.naval ", " alt.support.divorce ",
and " soc.men " and " soc.women ".
Post by Patrick Turner
Does it mean Society men? or sock it to the men, hit em with a feminyst
punch?
Or does it mean Social men, who don't need hitting by anyone,
surely not by feminists.
Does soc stand for "silly old c---" ( could be male or female.....)
Well ok, "silly old cowboy" then...
In other groups I partake, the name of the group implies the reason
for its existance, and anything discussed relates to that, and there is
no
need for a definition of purpose, because the name is the flag for the
ship.
Perhaps that is a very masculine thing, this definition of purpose,
but wheras there is an undefined purpose for being, and in fact if the
purpose for being is to exist undefined, then it seems feminine.
From what I do see however, there is more expressed intelligence here
than the
one liner banalities I see so evident in groups elsewhere on the web in
the public discussion groups.
When I visit such groups I feel despondent about humanity, ( and
huwomanity )
although most such groups seem male dominated and by males capable of
very limited comunication ability.
At least it appears some women hang out here.
But perhaps they to are men who have all addopted women's names, who
knows.
Not true, at least not in total. I have met one woman who posts here,
in Real Life.
So soc. explains all the antisocial commentary....
No. Trools post to any group they target. That has AbZero to do with a
group being soc, alt, or sci.

Somebody said here that the more intelligent a woman is, the less likely
it is that she'll marry.
Not quite.
Statistics may be damned lies, but they indicate marriage is less
practised by women with high IQ.
It don't mean they have less sex, or have more boring social lives, or
anything very much at all.
Away from marriage, ppl are free to roam around and root at will if the
target is willing;
that suits the complex intelligence of a complex mind of somebody who
who considers 1,001 aspects pof the FQ, which is the fuckability quotient.
I have heard what my sisters say about the men they have met, and
a man has to be one in a thousand who meets their criteria.
Marriage? you have to be kidding.
Marriage for many these days is a small part of a life long hunt for
personal diversions.
The divorce rate is 50%, and what period does an average marriage last?
10 years? so between 16 and 76, there are 50 years where there is no
marriage.......
Not for all, but for 30% of women there will never be a marriage.
OK...

Wrong. Just because their logic works differently, this doesn't mean that
there isn't any present.

Women can be figured out. And, once one is open to doing so, and is
paying close attention ( Like, what they say differeing from what they do,

not that hard to do.

This is a newsgroup that is for discussion of issues that are of
interest and concern to men. The topics cover a wide range of subjects
- just about anything men want to talk about, really.

Soc - if you know anything about the history of the Internet and
Usenet newsgroups, was one of the original net domains for discussion
groups. It covers mostly *sociological* categories such as religion,
relationships, culture, etc.

I've been reading and posting here off and on (mostly off lately
because I've been busy) for about the last seven years or so -
originally under my real name, but now under a pseudonym. I did that
after my Internet acct was attacked by feminists spreading e-mail
viruses. But I'm still here..... The regulars here are a great bunch

that's a good thing - the discussion here is lively and worth checking
out. There really aren't many public venues where men can truly speak
their minds, vent, and discuss things of interest to men. This is one
of the few such places. Our media is largely feminist-controlled.
