Was he their lead singer ? Did he release the original under his own

----------
1) On that record, yes. Joe Stubbs was the lead on "You're So Fine."
The group was packed with talent, including Eddie Floyd and Sir Mack Rice.
2) I have a "Wilson Pickett's Greatest Hits" album which includes it,
but it does say "with the Falcons."

Mack Rice (before he was knighted :) was also a member of The Five
Scalders and appears on their record that Bruce nominated for the
February tournament

However Pickett did re-record "I Found A Love" for Atlantic which
appeared as a two-part single on the label in 1967.

Yes. But it's....a disappointment. Well, anything would be a
disappoinment to me. "I Found A Love" is my favorite record of 1962.
It's a 10.

My Top 10 1962 favorites
1. I Found A Love Falcons
Although almost by definition, there are a lot of similarities in the
group, but also a lot of diversity, and I think that's interesting that
both of you have the same #1 for the year.
