The 2021 MLB All-Star Game is headed to Denver, Colorado to Coors Field, home
of the Colorado Rockies, a source confirmed to The Athletic.

https://twitter.com/TheAthletic/status/1379258834489810953?s=20

The game, scheduled for July 13, was originally to be played at Truist Park in
Cobb County, Ga., which is north of downtown Atlanta.

The league cited its support for "voting rights for all Americans" in
announcing the decision to move the game.

----------------------------------

...except Colorado requires photo ID to vote in person, requires signature
verification for mail in ballots (which Georgia got rid of), and prevents
campaign workers from giving food/water to voters within 100 ft if they're
wearing campaign apparel. And Colorado is a much whiter state, too.

Oops.

This is where all of sports media reporters who weighed in with outrage over
Georgia's law does new reporting in which they compare the election laws in
these two states, right? Hahahahaha! Just joking. Of course that won't
happen.

Which one?
Campaign apparel.
You read the Colorado election code? If there is a 100 foot
electioneering prohibition zone, then ANY electioneering, which includes
any political discussion, is prohibited. It would not be limited to
wearing partisan apparel.

I can't speak to that as I haven't read the amendment to the Georgia
election code. My state's election code allows no electioneering in
the polling place and within 100 feet of the entrance to the polling
place's room. That includes wearing campaign apparel even if one isn't
speaking. Furthermore, one needs credentials to be in the polling place
if one isn't a voter. That includes poll watchers, reporters, campaign
and party volunteers, staff of the county clerk's office, and law
enforcement. I guess my state law wouldn't prohibit someone wearing no
campaign apparel and making no political statements and not identifying
a partisan organization could hand out water. But they could not enter
the polling place to hand out water to voters in line. Poll watchers and
others are not permitted to engage voters in conversation, but they can
speak to the voter after he's cast his ballot but they'd have go beyond
the elecitoneering zone to avoid being overheard by other voters.

The amendment seems unnecessary as handing out water while engaging in a
partisan discussion within the electioneering prohibition zone was
already illegal, and again, they could be as partisan as the like if
they simply handed out water beyond the zone.

Electioneering prohibition zones are a restriction on speech/publishing
and one of the few instances I support.

I have no idea why you oppose this, Johnston.

they'd move which would cause major tax loss in the existing location
and major tax revenue and employment in the next city.

Does Colorado have a law that allows it to take over the election boards
by politicians who can change the will of the voters if they don't like
who won the election?

No? Then they're not in Georgia territory. Not until they can strip
the voters of their winner, and substitute who they want instead.

You know... negate the votes of their constituents at will.
Fail again, Clown Counselor...

MLB is showing their respect for helping the black community by moving the game from majority black city where many local black businessmen would have benefitted to a city that is 74 % white and essentially ruled by Coors beer ... that has a past history with discrimination against Mexicans, Blacks and LGBTQ ...
MLB is very woke ...

Well, it would be if you understood how these pressure campaigns worked.
Short term pain, long term gain.

Judging by your model, those blacks who marched and gotten beaten down,
should have taken the easy route.

And they'd still be counting jars of jellybeans right now.
And we'd still be subjects of the crown.

Yeah, you're a grate student of history, you are.

Yep. They vote. They picked their legislators.
They get what they voted for - so maybe next time, they'll vote for

Colorado politicians haven't given themselves the authority to overthrow
the will of the voters.

Georgia did.

When you tally it all up, that power negates anything good in the bill.
They can literally replace the election boards with their own
hand-picked people who can overturn the will of the voters.

You're not only full of shit, but you're ignorant too.

MLB is showing their respect for helping the black community by moving the
game from majority black city where many local black businessmen would have
benefitted to a city that is 74 % white and essentially ruled by Coors beer
... that has a past history with discrimination against Mexicans, Blacks and
LGBTQ ...
MLB is very woke ...
Tell that to the [white] people in Colorado, who just got a windfall [at the
expense of the blacks in Georgia].
Well done, progs! Once again, you've screwed over those you claim to be
fighting for. Weird how often that happens.
The publicized gesture may be more important than the actual result.
LOL! Typical leftism... symbolism over substance.

I doubt the black Atlanta merchants that will no longer have any post-pandemi
income to look forward to feel the same.

The 2021 MLB All-Star Game is headed to Denver, Colorado to Coors Field,
home
of the Colorado Rockies, a source confirmed to The Athletic.
https://twitter.com/TheAthletic/status/1379258834489810953?s=20
The game, scheduled for July 13, was originally to be played at Truist
Park in
Cobb County, Ga., which is north of downtown Atlanta.
Of course that won't
happen.

Nope. It's just how boycotts work.
If you think people who are being hurt by this are blaming MLB, think again.

If you think this law will drive DOWN voter turnout, think again.
Georgia is going to drive voter turnout UP, if anything.

Typical rightism... overreach far enough to have the opposite effect.
Bravo! This law is a winner all around!

The klowns are out in force today!

Colorado's voter laws are nothing like Georgia's. (I'm not even going
to go into why. Yet.)

Let the klowns have all the rope they need. No need to spring the

They moved the All Star game... so do they eat less hot dogs in
Colorado? Drink less beer?

Money will be made from the game, just not by the people in Georgia.
So it's a wash... the people in Georgia are in control of their own fate.

They elected these racist assholes.

Fixed that for you.

Even Biden-- who pressured MLB to move the game, something that would
have given you a stroke if Trump had done it-- acknowledged that
black-owned businesses will be deprived of about $50 million in revenue.
They elected these racist assholes.
Hardly. Those who are losing out aren't the ones who voted for the

Presidential elections are determined by the voters of ALL the states.

In a democracy, we are stuck with the elected leaders we get. As
taxpayers we are screwed over by their blunders. A dreadful president
will get us entangled in foreign wars in which there is no real US
interest to defend. That costs money and lives.

Money will be made from the game [by the white people in Colorado],
just not by the [black] people in Georgia.
Fixed that for you.
Even Biden-- who pressured MLB to move the game,
Is that what you heard on right wing hate radio or do you have a
legitimate cite for this?
MLB moved because some of the PLAYERS were going to boycott. The
decision was made by the commissioner, and him alone, I'm told.

Fox is blaming Stacey Abrams, so now we know the name of the one person
who was NOT behind it.

Maybe Derp thinks Abrams is Biden's puppet master? Or he was just
talkin' shit per usual.

The 2021 MLB All-Star Game is headed to Denver, Colorado to
Coors Field,
home
of the Colorado Rockies, a source confirmed to The Athletic.
  https://twitter.com/TheAthletic/status/1379258834489810953?s=20
The game, scheduled for July 13, was originally to be played at
Truist
Park in
Cobb County, Ga., which is north of downtown Atlanta.
The league cited its support for "voting rights for all
Americans" in
announcing the decision to move the game.
  ----------------------------------
...except Colorado requires photo ID to vote in person, requires
signature
verification for mail in ballots (which Georgia got rid of), and
prevents
campaign workers from giving food/water to voters within 100 ft
if they're
wearing campaign apparel. And Colorado is a much whiter state, too.
  Oops.
This is where all of sports media reporters who weighed in with
outrage over
Georgia's law does new reporting in which they compare the
election laws in
these two states, right? Hahahahaha! Just joking. Of course that
won't
  happen.
MLB is showing their respect for helping the black community by
moving the
game from majority black city where many local black businessmen would have
benefitted to a city that is 74 % white and essentially ruled by Coors beer
... that has a past history with discrimination against Mexicans, Blacks and
LGBTQ ...
  MLB is very woke ...
Tell that to the [white] people in Colorado, who just got a windfall [at the
expense of the blacks in Georgia].
Well done, progs! Once again, you've screwed over those you claim to be
fighting for. Weird how often that happens.
Speaking of things being screwed, did I miss your comments on the hot
water Matt Gaetz has found himself in, or do you have to have your
balls reattached for that to happen?
They moved the All Star game... so do they eat less hot dogs in
Colorado?  Drink less beer?
Money will be made from the game, just not by the people in Georgia.
So it's a wash... the people in Georgia are in control of their own fate.
They elected these racist assholes.
I googled this morning to see if recall elections are in GA. They need
to clean house, starting with the illegitimately elected Brian Kemp. No
more mister nice guy.

As long as the point is made to the horseshit state govt. of Georgia
that's all that matters. Are you having a problem with this with the
horseshit you call a brain, Derp?
