I've agreed with Roger fairly often on all four spots, though I haven't
been counting. My guess is Diane would be next. But Bob's certainly
right that there's very little rockabilly appearing high on my choice
list and I obviously like some of the vocal group records rather less
than two or three of the other voters, who tend to downgrade the more
hardcore r&b stuff you I tend to like. In some ways, the selections and
choices of obscurities seems to be more deeply revealing of people's
actual tastes than contests involving more familiar records.

I had asked Geoff about a month ago via email a couple of things.

First, that he stay playing in the tournament. And second, if he did, to
use his creative math and database skills to come up with something that
would show how each of us compared to each other in our selections.
E.g., if for May ( based on their selections each round)...
Roger vs. Bruce, = 71% same rankings
Me vs. Diane = 68%
Bill vs. Frank = 73%.
(these numbers are just pulled out of air)

etc.

I think it would be an interesting stat to see, but it hurts my head
even to start to think about it.

What hurts my head us I can't get over the feeling that Fats Domino is getting a push on reputation and not the merits of this insipid little side that's entered!!

It's sort of like when John Wayne won best actor for "True Grit" in 1969 in what amounted to a "Lifetime Achievement" sop!!

I've also noted Fats' rather favorable seedings and matchups duting this ROAD TO THE FINAL FOUR!
