Get a load of this:

http://e.informer.com/softdevlabs.com/ctci-win
http://e.informer.com/softdevlabs.com/hercgui
...etc...

Basically every web page on my web site is being served to the user as if it were theirs.

Even clicking any of the links at the bottom of MY WEB PAGE (presented to the user as if it were theirs) takes the user to yet another of THEIR web pages! (where they are again displaying MY web content as if it were their own)

They're stealing bandwidth from my web server so they can make money off of MY work! (by displaying the advertisement at the top of their web page)

This is not right. This is not fair use. This is theft of intellectual property and IMO a blatant violation of Copyright law.

Non-authoritative answer:

e.informer.com canonical name = surdotly.com.

Name: surdotly.com

Address: 54.173.41.122

And you'll no longer have the problem. You DO have a firewall of some type
right?

certainly sh*tty. I am not a web sophisticate but might it be worth looking at their html to see how they're doing it? I know there used to be things you could put in your html that would stop it rendering in an iframe but i don't know if that's what's being used.

it is an iframe by the way. Again, I'm no great sophisticate but there are ways of preventing your pages loading in an iframe - something like <meta http-equiv="X-Frame-Options" content="deny">

There is no downside to complaining to the internet provider and domain
registrar, either.

Hello!
I agree with the fellow wearing an odd hat.

The problem with the registrar is that they have a lousy track record
for abuse issues. By contrast the one at AWS moves slow, it does its
job well.

Now it would be nice if those bozos paid you for acting as a mirror
but that would be too much to expect. In fact contact them and remind
them that you wrote the software they are delivering without your
permission, and you want a flat fee, name your own price, for
mirroring the whole thing., otherwise you are going to file complaints
against them to their providers.

Nevermind the fact that the registrar is a plodder when it comes to
responding to these complaints.

Nevertheless, there is no downside. The worst that can happen is that
it does nothing. Truthfully, I don't expect much from GoDaddy but I can
guarantee it does nothing if David says nothing.

yes -- they put your content into a 'frame' -- there is
website management tools to 'break out of framing', or
alternatively you can block, one off, each new contender ... a
fools errand. nothing new

if bothers you and you pay for your bandwidth, have fun trying
to play 'whack a mole' with these unknown bandits

otherwise, ignore it

I can't do much to help, web pages are not my field, lucky me.

But when I see things like that, a "mail bomb" attitude
I have not actually practiced, raise in me ... ;-)

Yep! That's the exact same problem I had too!

It was back in October 2016 that I first discovered this Software Informer sh*t and just like Mr. Edwards, Mr. Edwards, I too noticed that they had COPIED MY SOFTWARE (the "Trial" versions) TO THEIR SERVER and was offering it for DOWNLOAD FROM THEIR DOWNLOAD SERVER! A blatant violation of Copyright Law!

I too wrote to them and I too received a boilerplate response from "Kasey Bloome". (The wording "her" email was almost word for word identical to the one Mr. Edwards received in response too!)

After making it clear I wasn't about to put up with this sh*t of theirs they supposedly removed my listing, and I didn't think anything of it until just the other day when I came across the same sh*t over 1.5 years later!

They are truly SCUM BAGS! >8-<

I'm strongly considering contacting the Department of Homeland Security's "National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center" (https://www.iprcenter.gov/) as well as maybe the FBI's "Intellectual Property Theft/Piracy" Division (https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/white-collar-crime/piracy-ip-theft) too. These a**holes should be shut down. This sh*t has apparently been going on for years now. How can they get away with this? Why are they still in business? Isn't what they are doing ILLEGAL?

If I had the money I'd sue their asses right into Chapter 11!

Thoughts...

1) Set your built in links to open in a new window.
2) use some of the tricks mentioned to stop the pages running in a frame
3) put a warning on the page that say if displayed via software informaer
its copied and illegal
