To all those naysayers who love to rubbish Verstappen’s obvious talent.

Also to those individuals (one in particular) who refused to believe that
all Honda needed was time, and a team that had faith in them.

So could we say then..

Ron Dennis looks like he was right all along.
But for Alonso and his tantrums, Mclaren might be on the front row
today?

I don't think that's an unreasonable assumption at all. Yet another Alonso 'career mistake' that
sadly also took McLaren down for a few years with him.

You are kidding right?
They wasted 4 years or so along with a couple of BILLION.

Well they do a whole lot better now with Renault.

Do you see the Toro Rosso doing so much better the McLaren?
I don't.
Based on the very limited info I have, Red Bull / Toro Rosso
still have by far the best chassis.
Mercedes still have by far the best PU.

That those japanese arrogant comedians FINALLY hire outside expertise
which immediately payed of and resulted in much better engines,
that's true, saying they are on par with Mercedes is not IMO.

By the time Honda produces anything close to Mercedes we can see
Red Bull winning 90 % of all races.

No sorry I wasn't. That Honda engine has been good enough to get pole
against Ferari and Merc and had it not been for tyre tactics may well
have won. I've yet to see Renault power get anywhere near that in
this current engine era.

Indeed that's true but what made it a wasted 4 years was Alonso
forcing McLaren to give up 18 months too early.

Compared with how the Honda engine was two years ago before they got
outside help (as you put it) yes, but now?

I'd wager MacLaren are kicking themselves and muttering under their
breath about every time they've been near Alonso it has started and
ended badly. Given the chance to go back to exclusive with Homda they
wouldn't think twice.

Agreed but that does prove anything about the power unit. There could
be a host of reasons why TR are not as good as RB.

Never the less, the RB car is competitive, none of the Renault
engined machines are.

I think 90% is an understatement.

That is manly because Red Bull doesn't have the Renault PU anymore.

18 months early you say, how about gave up 4 year too late?

Well now we ( they ) are 5 years and many billions later and Honda still
hasn't won the championship.

What if Honda told them : we might become somewhat competitive after
5 years and ONLY IF you produce the very best chassis?

While staggering a billion dollars is not incredible as a finger in the
air total; a "couple of billion" is more finger up the bum.

Is it that you don't like Honda, or don't like Japanese ? Hardly a very
polite attitude towards your former Axis allies....
