Note: due to the sensitive nature of some information, any source
who is ANONYMOUS is marked ANON in all-capital letters and the
reader should refer to the ANONYMOUS USENET POSTERS list for
further details on that poster, including theories (often by
other ANON posters) as to who that poster is.

This is a WORK IN PROGRESS. It will reach completed form on May 31st,
2007, to the best of my ability to work on it during my free time.

As of today, May 18th, many sections are incomplete and i have
logged at least a dozen more usenet posts for summarization and
inclusion which time constraints prevent my doing today. I also
have an extensive ANON email to summarize (see under ANON
Emailer) and there are historical usenet archive searches to be
made as well.

For my own convenience, certain sections contain the key term XXX --
this is a writer's convention marking sections in need of research,
writing, or revision -- i use my computer's find function to locate
XXX sections and work on them as i go. Normally, i would not release
a document with XXX inclusions -- i would work them all out before
publishing, even on usenet -- but it has been a few days since my
last update and i must leave for the weekend early (it is Friday),
so i am taking the unusual step of posting this with XXX markers
intact, so that those who are unsure of what i intend to include
will have a foretaste of the finished work and those who are
curious about my methodology may see how i assemble data.

DATES

(XXX NOTE! This timeline is INCOMPLETE and will be the next section to
be
updated, beginning May 21st -- see usenet posts for more and check for
dates in the ANON Emailer data.)

1981
Chic Cicero charged with discharging a firearm within city limits,
Muscogee County, GA.; data supplied by many; appears to be true.
(Case 43488, filed 2/3/81)
1983
Chic Cicero charged with wife beating/assault with a deadly weapon
Muskogee County, GA; data supplied by many; appears to be true.
(Case 47626X, aggravated assault, filed 8/31/83)
1997
Carroll "Poke" Runyon publishes "Secrets of the Golden Dawn Cypher
Manuscript" with foreword by Pat Zalewski and afterword by R. A.
Gilbert.
1997
"at a Golden Dawn conference in 1997 R. A. Gilbert delivered
a paper that effectively savaged the history and reputation of the
Societas Rosicruciana in America, an order that had been moribund
owing to a court dispute among senior members concerned with a land
deal that had gone wrong under the Imperatrix Lucia Grolsch. The
SRIAmerica was later revived by a member, and new Imperatrix, Soror
Maria, and continues to exist" -- says anonymous poster ANON Jean
2005 - 2007
Anonymous usenet posters cite links to rabidly anti-Griffin web pages,
filled with slanderous statements. Meanwhile, other anonymous usenet
posters publish details shaming and damaging to the reputations of
Cicero. All these posts seem to be backlash from the HOGD lawsuit.
2006
Griffin's HOGD temples in US see many members decamp to Cicero's
HOGD, says ANON Jean
2007 (February)
Griffin loses lawsuit to Cicero over the use of HOGD name in America,
then relocates in Germany, according to ANON Jean (date supplied by
ANON Asiya)

NAMES

(XXX NOTE! This list is INCOMPLETE and will be revised beginning May 22nd)

Babwahsingh, Maria (XXX find authoritative spelling of her name)
(called "The Dragonlady of the Golden Dawn" by ANON sria_scams)
("inherited a small fortune due to the former bootlegging
activities of her father (now deceased) during prihibition [sic].
She still enjoys friendly relations with the New Jersey mob,
which is how she first met Chic Cicero," says ANON sria_scams)
("has filed a long series of frivolous lawsuits, including against
Robert Word, Dale Buckholtz, and Robert Word [sic]" says sria_scams)
("initiated into the Golden Dawn by Cicero" says ANON sria_scams)
(during the 1980s, working in collaboration with the violent Cicero,
she coerced then SRIAm Imperatrix Lucia Grolsch/Grosch to relinquish
her title and organization, according to ANON sria_scams.
(said to have lots of Rosicrucian charters (?))
(revived SRIAm after Grolsch debacle, says ANON Jean)
(Imperatrix of SRIAm Societas Rosicruciana in America post-Grolsch)
(said by ANON sri_scams to be the person behind the ANON Jean posts;
this is denied by ANON Jean who says she is not Babwahsingh)
Behman, Patricia aka Monnastre, Cris
(as Monnastre wrote an intro to a Zalewski book listed at amazon)
(at one time was "romantically linked to David Griffin" and participated
in an initiation of Griffin in Cicero's home that ed to the so-called
"pizza schism" that separated Griffin from the HOGD-C. claimed ANON Mark
(???) in 2005 XXX this source needs checking with google usenet archive)
Bolks, Mark (posts to usenet as ***@yahoo.com)
(claims to be "a member of the HOGD/A+O" -- confirmed by ANON emailer)
(says there is "no Nazism within the Order at any level.")
(offers this opinion that, regarding the charge that Griffin's lawyer
Jorge Hevia was arrested on a DUI charge: "As for the 'DUI', I'm
sure it's one of the other 500 Jorge Hevias who live in the U.S.
Probably a truck driver with the same name. My bet is this could be
verified by public record.)
Bourke, Desmond
(said by ANON Jean to be in London, UK and to commit "antics")
(said by ANON Jean to give out false GD lineages)
(ran a "quasi-Masonic charter mill" 1960s - 70s, says ANON Jean)
(was a member of SRIAn, says ANON Jean)
("claimed a GD link through a Bristol temple" 1960s, says ANON Jean)
(Bristol temple GD link disproved by Pat Zalewski, says ANON Jean)
("had access to many rites at the SRIA headquarters, [and] spent much
of his time falsifying charters to issue"; dispensed charters to
"pretty much to anyone who asked," but later "confessed" and "recanted
because he was caught out" in a false charter scandal, says ANON Jean)
(his family of orders was the "Sovereign Imperium of the Mysteries")
(said by ANON Jean to be opposed by those who also oppose Robert Word)
Cicero, Chic (Charles Cicero Jr.)
1981, Chic Cicero charged with discharging a firearm within city limits,
Muscogee County, GA.; data supplied by many; appears to be true.
(Case 43488, filed 2/3/81)
1983, Chic Cicero charged with wife beating/assault with a deadly weapon
Muscogee County, GA; data supplied by many; appears to be true. His
wife at the time was named Eva Marie Cicero.
(Case 47626X, aggravated assault, filed 8/31/83)
(The rabidly anti-Cicero poster and defamation web site creator
ANON aria_scams presents this information in a slightly different way:
"Chic Cicero is not a convicted felon. [...] He [had] been arrested
some half a dozen times over the years, had managed to get off four
times, plead down to a misdemeanor twice, spent a few months in the
Hoboken lock-up followed by probation on the first, and got two years
straight probation on the second occasion. [...] he was arrested
in Georgia on criminal firearms charges in connection with an extortion
scheme (Muscogee Superior Court Case #43488) as well as for assault
with a deadly weapon in connection with a wife beating charge (Case
Number 47626X, filed by Eva Marie Cicero). He was subsequently was
released on $1,500 bail. The incident began when Eva Marie Cicero
flew into a jealous rage when she caught [ Chic] cheating on her with
a young stripper named "Samantha Midnight [later Tabitha Cicero]."
In response, Chic Cicero hit his wife Eva over the head with a glass
planter so hard that he was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
As is so often the case in instances of domestic violence, Eva Cicero
eventually dropped the charges against her husband. [...] the
aforementioned weapons charge in Columbus, GA still remains open, and
Chic Cicero fled Georgia to Florida shortly after it was filed.")
(Says ANON sria_truth, "I have telephoned the Columbus GA Court clerk
and have verified that the arrest documents concerning the arrest of
Chic "Charles" Cicero for violent offenses are authentic. One of them
still carries an outstanding arrest warrant in GA."
(head of a HOGD organization, according to ANON Jean and many others)
(initiated Maria Babwahsingh into the GD says sria_scams)
(is affiliated with the New Jersey mob (mafia) says sria_scams)
(owned a strip bar called he Shady lady, according to anon. posters)
{Says the rabidly anti-Cicero poster ANON sria_scams, "In the late
1970s,
[Cicero] tried to ingratiate himself with Grady MacMurtry, the Chief
of the OTO at the time. Chic was mildly successful, and began operating
an oasis of the OTO in Columbus in addition to his Shady Lady
operation.")
(pistol-whipped octagenarian Lucia Grosch, in the 1980s, according
to ANON sria_scams. This anonymous claim is so extraordinary it should
be
read in full; see it under the heading for Grolsch / Grosch)
(established temples in the UK in the early 2000s says ANON Jean)
(Feb. 2007, won lawsuit against Griffin's use of HOGD name, says
ANON Asiya)
("Actually, Griffin was sued by Cicero in a frivolous lawsuit which
tried to prevent Griffin from using the HOGD name in the USA. Cicero
lost, Griffin is still using the name, and now Cicero eats dog food
after having bankrupted himself in the process," says ANON sria_scams)
(XXX ANON Emailer Settlement info to be inserted here)
Cicero, Tabitha also spelled Tabatha by some detractors
(Chic Cicero's second wife)
(said to have been a stripper with the stage name Samantha Midnight)
(said to have worked in the Shady Lady bar owned by Chic Cicero)
(XXX ANON Emailer pizza schism ascension to Chief to be inserted here)
Fatboy -- see ANONYMOUS USENET POSTERS
Fleming, Anthony -- see also Fuller, Tony
("renowned Golden Dawn hi[s]torian" says ANON sria_scams)
(said to be same as Tony Fuller, claims ANON sria_scams)
(said by sria_scams to have proved that SRIAm lineage is "made up."}
Fuller, Tony -- see also Fleming, Anthony
(said by ANON sria_scams to be identical with Fleming, Anthon[e]y
(quoted at length by sria_scams saying that SRIAm has little or no GD
content and arose independently)
Gilbert, R.A.
(said by ANON Jean to be a member of the SRIAnglia)
(said by ANON Jean to have "rescued" and "salvaged" the reputation
of
SRIAmerica in 1997 at a GD conference - for details, see under SRIAm)
(also according to ANON Jean, at the same conference, Gilbert presented
a paper containing his "considered explanation for the GD cyphers, that
they were the rituals for two stillborn orders, the Society of Eight
and the Sa'at B'hai")
(ally of Poke Runyon; wrote 1997 afterword to Runyon GD Cipher MS book)
(not known to post in usenet)
Grace-Bachman, Leigh-Ann
(posts to usenet under her motto "Soror M.D.L.L." aka ***@yahoo.com)
(claims to have been a member of HOGD A+O since 2005, and to have
received physical initiations to the grade of 3=8)
(avers there is no Nazi material in the HOGD A+O teachings or rites.)
(is herself opposed to racism and says that, in her personal knowledge,
people of all races, religions, and orientations are to be found in
HOGD / A+O, which is in no way a Nazi or racist group.)
(As a tutor in HOGD / A+O, she also states that she has students on 3
continents, knows David Griffin personally and respects him, and also
knows Jorge Hevia III.)
(believes that attacks against Griffin are motivated by jealousy over
his
creative contributions to GD studies and ritual work.)
(claims that the OSOGD "has been bashing and trashing the HOGD/A&O and
David Griffin for years.")
Griffin, David
(one time affiliate of Chic Cicero who had "fallen out" claims ANON Jean)
(Cris Monnastre "romantically linked to David Griffin" claims ANON
Mark,
who, in 2005, told how Behman (Monnastre) and Griffin broke with
Cicero during the "pizza schism", splitting the HOGD in two; see Behman)
(XXX insert ANON Emailer account of "pizza schism" which varies from
ANON Mark account in details and includes XXX Adam Forrest, for which
an entry should be started)
(claims SRIAm, SRIAn, and Cicero's GD were against him says ANON Jean)
(in a paper "titled 'SRIA Mothers or Thieves?' ... suggested ... that
the
SRIA[n] had 'stolen' a [Mackenzie] lineage intended for the GD," says
ANON Jean, who adds, "It is possible David is [...] sincere, as he has
a
poor grasp of history and relies [...] on what he is told by Word and
most unfortunately, by Ruggiu." ANON Jean claims the Word and Griffin
"attack on SRIAn" alleged SRIAn was based on a stolen Mackenzie lineage)
(claimed his Ahathoor Temple in Paris was long-running and threatened
to
sue "a NZ researcher" who said Ahathoor was a revival, says ANON Jean)
(founded a temple in UK says ANON Jean)
(theeatened "NZ researcher" was Roel van Leeuwen, claims ANON Emailer)
(attacked UK HOGD-C because it shared members with SRIAn said ANON Jean)
(c. 2000, Griffin's temple in the UK ceased to exist, claims ANON Jean)
(tried to found temple in Sweden but it defected as SR+C, says ANON Jean)
(said to be a Neo-Nazi by ANON gd.insight et al;obviously untrue slander)
(called an ecological activist by ANON regulus -- see Daily Cal article)
(XXX ANON Emailer supplied Daily Cal URL, insert here)
(the testimony of ANON regulus of hermetic.org is as follows:
"The photo [of Griffin in a Nazi uniform] was part of a news report,
which was repeated several times in alt.magick. [...] It said
categorically that it was an ecological demonstration with anti-racist
overtones. Racists do not make anti-racists speeches, Nazis do not
wear funny looking false mustaches mocking Hitler. Honestly, we all
know that Mr. Griffin is not a Nazi. [...] The article mentions that
there were people who were offended by the uniform, but stated quite
clearly what the intention was, which was to drive an ecological
message stressing unity of religion, unity of race home using shock
tactics. [...] Lots of people commented on the episode, people who are
not associated with and even antagonistic to with Mr. Griffin have
accepted this explanation."}
(has "failed manifestly to prove the authenticity of [his] lineages over
a long period of time" says ANON Jean (since circa 1997(?))
(ANON Jean claims that "it is further alleged that Griffin's US
temples,
at one time his power base, largely ceased to exist about a year ago
[2006], with many of the personnel decamping to the Cicero group.")
(Feb. 2007: lost lawsuit to Cicero and may no longer use the HOGD
name in the USA, say ANON Jean and ANON Asiya. ANON Jean adds that
the court decision has not been enforced in the USA as of May 2007,
which may be a moot point due to Griffin's relocation to Germany)
(XXX ANON Emailer Settlement info to be inserted here)
(now based in Germany and visits Amsterdam occasionally, says ANON Jean)
("he lives in America, since his website says he just spoke in Sedona,"
[in early 2007], says sria_scams)
Grolsch, Lucia (also spelled Grosch by sria_scams)
(Imperatrix of SRIAm Societas Rosicruciana in America circa 1997)
(responsible for a bad "land deal" that had hurt SRIAm, says ANON Jean)
(ANON sria_scams is quoted here verbatim: "!n the 1980's, the former
Imperatrix of the SRIA (America), Lucia Grosch, was being sued by
Frank Modica over a land deal gone sour. Grosch, in her 80s at the
time, was nearly destitute. Mariah Babwahsingh offered to finance
her legal bills and negotiate a settlement if Grosch would relinquish
control of the SRIA to Babwahsingh and Cicero. When she refused, she
was visited by Cicero who pistol whipped her and threatened to kill
her. The next day, Grosch signed over the SRIA to Babwasingh and
Cicero.")
(XXX Can anyone supply police or court records that substantiate
the charge of Cicero beating up an old woman in the 1980s?)
(XXX Can anyone check spelling of Grolsch / Grosch???)
Hevia, Jorge
(said to have been Griffin's lawyer)
(said to have been arrested for DUI)
(said to have been the Praemonstrator of Griffin's HOGD A+O)
(XXX ANON Emailer Settlement info to be inserted here)
Jean -- see ANONYMOUS USENET POSTERS
Mackenzie, Kenneth
(long dead affiliate of orig. HOGD; one possible author of GD Cipher MS)
(Griffin and Word claimed SRIAn stole Mackenzie lineage, says ANON
Jean)
Modica, Frank
(sued Lucia Grosch / Grolsch over a contested land deal in the 1980s,
according to sria_scams; the land deal situation also threatened to
destroy the SRIAm, according to ANON Jean, who did not mention Modica)
Monnastre, Cris -- see major entry under Behman, Patricia
Regulus -- see ANONYMOUS USENET POSTERS
Ruggiu, Jean Pascal (XXX also spelled Reggiu by some usenet posters, check)
(associate of Nicolas Tereshenko in France says ANON Mark)
(he and Tereshenko, who were "con artists", gave Griffin a GD lineage
says ANON Mark)
(Griffin's French partner, claims ANON Jean)
(ran Griffin's Ahathoor temple in Paris, says ANON Jean)
(note that there is an anon poster named Jean and one named regulus)
Runyon, Carroll ("Poke")
(founder of his own occult orders, neither of which are GD/Ros orders)
(ally of Pat Zalewski, who wrote foreword to Runyon GD Cipher MS book)
(ally of R.A. Gilbert, who wrote afterword to Runyon GD Cipher MS book)
(battled Robert Word in usenet for years during the 1990s)
Tereshenko, Nicolas
(associate of Jean Pascal Ruggiu in France says ANON Mark)
(he and Ruggiu, "con artists", gave Griffin a GD lineage says ANON Mark)
van Leeuwen, Roel
("A NZ Rosicrucian historian" demonstrated that Ahathoor Temple was a
revival, and Griffin threated to sue him but never did, claims ANON Jean)
("I believe that the NZ Rosicrucian that you have referenced that
Griffin has tried to sue is Roel van Leeuwen. His work about the
Golden Dawn and other esoteric schools in New Zealand can be found at
http://www.ace.net.au/darkmoon/nzoccult.htm
His commentaries on Griffin, the Ahathoor Temple NO 7 in Paris can be
found at http://www.ace.net.au/darkmoon/addition.htm -- says ANON Josef)
(XXX insert ANON Emailer confirms this)
Walker, Trevor (posts to usenet as ***@Hotmail.co.uk)
(posts from the United Kingdom)
("in 1998, I was 16 years of age and in college" - born c. 1982)
(claims to me a member of Griffin's HOGD/A+O and confidently
asserts that the defamation sites accusing Griffin of being a Neo-Nazi
were created by Robert Zink (EOGD) and Chic Cicero (HOGD-C).)
(claims, "I am in no doubt whatsoever that you [Robert Zink] are
none other than 'gd.insights'" -- 2006)
(says, "sexual predator and cult leader Robert Zink, of the
inappropriately named and improperly licensed "Esoteric Order of the
Golden Dawn," is desperate to divert the attention away the fact that
he knowingly sexually abused an underage daughter of one of his own
study group members" -- for more on this, see under Zink)
(says, "I caught Zink, red handed, advertising the connection between
Nazism and Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, under his own identity
on this very forum.", 2006)
Westlund, Tommy
(XXX add extensive testimony of ANON Emailer re Westlund ripping off
rituals from Griffin to found Swedish SR+C Sodalitas Rosae+Crucis)
Wilson, Bruce ("Col" -- implying military affiliations (?))
(said by ANON Jean to have written a history -- but of what?)
(XXX ANON Emailer claim about Bruce Wilson article never being
seen in full but still used as a Wikipedia source to be inserted here)
Word, Robert
(said by many to post to usenet as Sar Draconis, ***@aol.com)
(XXX ANON Emailer and others allege Word is Sar Draconis insert)
(Sar Draconis attacked Zalewski and Gilbert ally Runyon in usenet, 1990s)
(said by ANON Jean to have attacked SRIAm)
(said by ANON Jean to have had "an unhappy career" with SRIAm)
(with Griffin, aattacked SRIAn with a claim that SRIAn operated under
a stolen Mackenzie lineage, says ANON Jean)
(Word and Griffin got charters via Bourke of the SRIAn, says ANON Jean)
(Bourke "claimed a GD link through a Bristol temple in the 60s" and
when
the Bristol temple's GD link was disproved by Pat Zalewski, says ANON
Jean, Word had a "lot of anger" for Zalewski)
(Word's anger at Zalewski would explain his hostile usenet behaviour
toward Runyon, a known friend and ally of Zalewski (see Runyon entry))
(Chief Adept of the Order of the Mystic Rose, allied with Griffin's HOGD)
(called Griffin's HOGD's "historian" on their web site, says ANON Jean)
(has denied alliance with Griffin, says ANON Jean)
(self-claimed Adeptus Exemptus of Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus
Foederatus (SRICF), "the only regular and masonically recognized branch
of the Societas Rosicruciana located within the territory of the United
States" -- May, 2007)
(XXX pick up and insert more Sar Draconis recent usenet posts here)
Zalewski, Chris
(former wife of Pat, according to unreliable Wikipedia)
Zalewski, Pat
(connected to "Ware Ra," my favourite "weird word of the week")
(ally of Poke Runyon; wrote 1997 foreword to Runyon GD Cipher MS book)
(Word and Griffin got charters via Bourke of the SRIAn, says ANON Jean,

who adds that Zalewski disproved Bourke claim of "a GD link through a
Bristol temple in the 60s" which was important in the charters of Word
and Griffin;this disclosure by Zalewski explains Word's "anger", says
ANON Jean)
(Word's anger at Zalewski may also explains Word's 1990s usenet
hostility
toward Runyon, a known Zalewski ally)
Zink, Robert
(a name mentioned in these feuds as early as 1999)
(former leader of HOMSI, current leader of the EOGD)
(signs posts Frater P.D.R. but not all posts originate from same mailer)
(accused of being a sexual predator by Walker, see EOGD XXX revise
this!)
(XXX ANON Emailer explains Zink's marriage to the woman, insert here)
(opposed to Griffin and allied with Cicero according to many anons.)
(says anon. Nomen Nescio 2005: "There does exist, however, quite
substantial proof that Robert Zink, operating under license of Chic
Cicero, is directly responsible for a vast number, if not all,
harassment
and abuse directed towards David Griffin.")
(in 2006 Trevor Walker identified Zink as ANON gd.insights, one of the *
in 2006 anti-Griffin site posters,)

ANONYMOUS USENET POSTERS

ANON emailer
(long-time American occultist who contacted me in email after having
seen
the recent series of posts of which this is one. He supplied many dates,
names, and legal data, all confirmed by other sources. In addition to
independently giving me the real names of some people whom i would have
otherwise classified as ANONs because i did not know them, he also
supplied the missing link in the tale of the Griffin-Cicero lawsuit,
namely that although each side has claimed that the other has "lost"
and
their side has "won," the fact is that the matter was concluded with a
SETTLEMENT. A member of neither HOGD-G or HOGD-C, he admits to slightly
favouring Cicero's side, but was remarkably fair in recitation of
events.
He also gave follow-up information regarding the accusations made
by Trevor Walker against the EOGD's Robert Zink -- see under Zink.)

that Griffin's order has 2,800 active members and Griffin's (Yahoo)
forum has 8,000 members)
(note: the above 3 things do not mesh; if ANON sria_truth is a HOGD-C

that Griffin is more popular than Cicero. Ergo, ANON sria_truth is
best approached as a Griffin double agent, posing as a Cicero member.)

still has an outstanding warrant, which is why he Fled to Florida.")

ORGANIZATIONS

Ahathoor Temple in Paris
(affiliated with Griffin's HOGD (after Griffin split from Cicero))
(run by Jean Pascal Ruggiu says ANON Jean)
AMORC Ancient Mystical Order of the Rosy Cross
(founded by H. Spencer Lewis; headquartered in San Jose, California)
(well known for its beautiful Egyptian museum and outreach programs
through popular magazines whereby it sells a correspondence course)
(battled Clymer's RF in an earlier Rosicrucian grudge-match, 1935)
("there are other 'inner' groups in AMORC that operate rather
differently to the external manifestation. Some of them operate using
alternate lineages and materials they would not want the broader
membership to be aware of," says ANON Jean)
(Clymer, fronting his own RF group, claimed in the book "The
Rosicrucian Fraternity in America" (1935) that one of the AMORC's
"alternate lineages" was a 1921 charter from the OTO of Aleister
Crowley, which he described as "a black cult of the Black Brotherhood";
he further claimed that Crowley was "the Black master and Secret
Chief" of AMORC's leader H. Spencer Lewis)
AOMR, August Order of the Mystic Rose
(Chief adept is Robert Word; order allied with Griffin's HOGD A+O)
BOTA, Builders of the Adytum
(founded by Paul Foster Case, using some teachings of original HOGD)
(ANON Jean claimed Robert Word said something (but what?) about BOTA)
EOGD, Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn
(leader is Robert Zink, an ally of Chic Cicero)
(EOGD "improperly licensed" by Chic Cicero" claims ANON Trevor)
(said by ANON Jean to not be too involved in the Cicero-Griffin fight)
(said by Trevor Walker to be the creator of Griffin defamation sites)
(major anti-EOGD poster is ANON Trevor, self-proclaimed "proud"
HOGD A+O member who in 2006 condemned "[the] EOGD; where bloodletting,
mutilation, flogging, and the 'blood on the rose' is part of the
non-traditional additions of your 5=6 initiation ceremony. Indeed,
filed under the list of requirements for Zink's, EOGD's, 5=6
Adeptus Minor initiation ceremony is 'Razor Blades and Bandages'."
-- but how non-EOGD ANON Trevor came to know this is unknown)
FLO Fellowship of Light
(mentioned in a post by ANON Jean)
(ANON Jean claimed Robert Word said something (but what?) about FLO)
FARC Freres-Aines de la Rose-Croix
(founded by (?) Roger Caro says ANON Jean)
(Caro had claimed Templar lineage dating to 1318, says ANON Jean)
(contains a subset called by ANON Jean "Freres-Aines researchers")
(transmitted Templar lineage to Griffin and Ruggiu, says ANON Jean)
(were in "esoteric transmission" contact with Griffin, says ANON Jean)
(lineage had been made with forged documents in the 1970s, says ANON Jean)
(falsified documents admitted by Carmain, who was "a Priory of Sion
researcher," says ANON Jean. This happened "during a sequence of events
that involved Carmain's grandfather," says ANON Jean.)
(after this, FARC ceased esoteric contact with Griffin says ANON Jean)
HOGD Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn
(late 19th century British occult order with its own schismatic history)
HOGD-C "Chic Cicero's GD", Cicero's Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn
(based in Florida)
("members of Chic Cicero's GD organisation had established successful
temples in the UK in the early years of this decade [200s]," says ANON Jean)
(In Feb, 2007, HOGD-C won a lawsuit entitling it to sole use of the
HOGD name and acronym in the USA, says ANON Jean)
("Actually, Griffin was sued by Cicero in a frivolous lawsuit which
tried to prevent Griffin from using the HOGD name in the USA. Cicero
lost, Griffin is still using the name, and now Cicero eats dog food
after having bankrupted himself in the process," says ANON sria_scams)
("order is more widespread [than HOGD-G] but we are talking about 50
per
temple. Surely less than 1000 [members] total," says ANON Jean)
("there are between 30-50 active members left in Chic's order" says
ANON sria_truth)
HOGD-G HOGD A+O "Griffin's GD", Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn Alpha
+ Omega
(repeatedly accused of being a Nazi front by the anon. posters
gdtruth666 and gd.insight, who post defamation website URLs to usenet)
(In Feb. 2007 lost a lawsuit to Chic Cicero and may no longer use the
HOGD
name and acronym in the USA, says ANON Jean, who adds that the court
decision has not been enforced in the USA as of May, 2007, which may
be a moot point due to Griffin's relocation to Germany)
("Actually, Griffin was sued by Cicero in a frivolous lawsuit which
tried to prevent Griffin from using the HOGD name in the USA. Cicero
lost, Griffin is still using the name, and now Cicero eats dog food
after having bankrupted himself in the process," says ANON sria_scams)
("Griffin's order still today calls itself the Hermetic Order of the
Golden Dawn because it won the right to do that while bankrupting
Cicero
in the process," says ANON sria_scams)
("alleged to have as few as 24 longterm members", says ANON Jean, 2007)
("Griffin's order has 2,800 active members and Griffin's (Yahoo)
forum has 8,000 members" says sria_truth, may, 2007))
(Griffin's USA temples said to have been closed in 2006, says ANON Jean)
("Griffin's HOGD/A+O still operates temples in both Sweden and in the
UK
[...] HOGD/A+O still operates temples throughout Europe and North
America [no mention of USA] and is larger than ever following their
defeating Cicero in court [in 2007], says ANON sria_scams)
HOMSI, Hermetic Order of the Morning Star Incorporated (?)
(said to be a "cult" led by "known sexual predator Robert Zink"
by anonymous anti-Zink posters, 2006 XXX get names of ANONs and log them)
(said by ANON Jean to not be involved in the Cicero-Griffin HOGD fight)
(said by ANON emailer to have reorganized as the EOGD when Chic
threatened Zink with a lawsuit over the GD trademark, then gave them
a GD charter because Griffin had stolen the trademark and Chic was
essentially asserting his right to bestow the trademark.
OSOGD Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn
(Chief adept is Sam Webster; group formed circa 2003 XXX check date)
(alleged to be Satanists in usenet -- check for names of posters)
(alleged to be Satanists in Wikipedia but allegation withdrawn; check
Wiki history of OSOGD page for names of page revisers)
(ANON Emailer says in 2003 they got a Cicero GD warrant during the
Griffin thing, granting them right to use the name Open Source Order
of the Golden Dawn but this was naked licensing -- XXX define naked
licensing-- during settlement proceedings, Cicero's lawyer Zimmerman
avoided this pitfall on the basis of Cicero's ignorance of trademark
law.)
RF Rosicrucian Federation
(Reuben Swinburne Clymer's organized bowdlerization of the works of
Paschal Beverly Randolph ("The Rosicrucian"); battled AMORC in the
1930s,
most notably claiming that AMORC was chartered in 1921 by the OTO,
which
latter Clymer characterized as "a black cult of the Black Brotherhood;"
Clymer's scurrilous attacks on the AMORC did not dim its popularity.
XXX cite Clymer's book)
RO A+O Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega
(An order that is umbrellaed with Griffin's HOGD, hence HOGD A+O)
SCRIF Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatus
(Sar Draconis (see Robert Word) is Adeptus Exemptus -- usenet, May,
2007)
(SCRIF claims to be "the only regular and masonically recognized branch
of the Societas Rosicruciana located within the territory of the United
States" -- May, 2007)
SIM Sovereign Imperium of the Mysteries
(family of orders spuriously chartered by Desmond Bourke, says ANON Jean)
SOM-OGD Sanctuary of Ma'at - Order of the Golden Dawn
(XXX add ANON Emailer material re Mark Griggs, who also got Cicero GD
warrant during the Griffin thing same deal as HOMSI/EOGD and OSOGD --
add all, plus add naked licensing note same as for OSOGD and EOGD)
SR+C Sodalitas Rosae+Crucis
("a large and rather convoluted order" in Sweden, says ANON Jean)
(used material pilfered from Griffin and other orders, says ANON Jean)
(may no longer continue to exist, says ANON Jean)
SRIAmerica, SRIAm, Soc Ros in America, Societas Rosicruciana in America
(an American Rosicrucian Society)
(led by "Plummer" and "Mother Serena, Plummer's widow" says ANON Jean)
("had temples in places like Liberia and Sierra Leone owing to the
immigration of African-Americans to those countries" and "may have had
maybe one thousand active members at a time then" says ANON Jean)
("DID RUN a correspondence course [...] like AMORC, and probably
relying on that and publishing Plummers' books, they remained a large
enough operation to function from 1909 until today [2007], says ANON Jean).
("laboured under an early accusation of AE Waite that the order had no
claim on Rosicrucian history and no legitimacy. Gilbert, a fan of
Waite's,
rescued the group from this overly-eager dismissal by Waite, proving
that the Order did have 'valid' connections and did conduct itself
in as 'authentic' a manner as could be expected." -- ANON Jean, 2007)
("salvaged" in 1997 by R. A. Gilbert at a GD conference, says ANON
Jean)
(the Gilbert paper that "rescued" and "salvaged" the reputation of the
SRIA was titled 'The Lost Stepchild in America' according to ANON Jean)
(in a paper "titled 'SRIA Mothers or Thieves?' [David Griffin]
suggested
... that the SRIA[m] had 'stolen' a [Mackenzie] lineage intended for
the
GD," says ANON Jean)
(Lucia Grolsch was Imperatrix of the SRIAm circa 1997, says ANON Jean)
(ANON Jean says, "The Imperatrix-ship of Lucia Grolsch (or Grosch) led
to a decline to 'a fraction' of those previous numbers. ... I am sure
the group was never even 10% the size of AMORC, so at best, probably a
few thousand members in its heyday seems reasonable.")
(Grolsh responsible for bad "land deal" that hurt SRIAm, says ANON Jean)
(Cicero pistol-whipped octagenarian Lucia Grosch, in the 1980s, according
to ANON sria_scams. This anonymous claim is so extraordinary it should
be
read in full; see it under the heading for Grolsch / Grosch)
(order recognised by Chic Cicero's HOGD, claims ANON Jean)
(current Imperatrix is Maria Babwasingh)
SRIAnglia, SRIAn, Soc Ros in Anglia, Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia
(a British Rosicrucian Society)
(R. A. Gilbert is a member, claims ANON Jean)
(a member of the SRIAn, Desmond Bourke, issued false charters
and gave rites to anyone who asked during the 1960s-70s says ANON Jean)
("the material [that Word and Griffin] asserted proved [that SRIA
lineage had been stolen from Mackenzie material meant for the
original HOGD] was suppressed by the SRIA in 1947 and was to do
with other matters entirely" (!!!) claims ANON Jean, then clarifies,
"The 'suppressed' material Word and Griffin alleged was about a
stolen lineage was about an early feud in the SRIA. They suppressed
it (dumb idea, by the way) because it was uncomfortably close to a
feud that was going on in the SRIA at the time, about 1947. The SRIA
is hardly the bed of roses that some commentators must wish to pretend.")

Because you don't sign your name to your posts.

It's pretty simple.

Is Asiya the name on your back book, credit card, or social security card?

Not to mention that my website, Asiya.org, has been around for almost
6 years, and it has pictures of me.
Way back in alt.religion.orisha there was a guy called Omi Juba whose
apparently real name was Michael Cabrera. He said he was Latino of Cuban
descent, gay, 23 years old, had received initiiation in a Santeria house
in Miami's Little Cuba district where his father was the padrino, had
moved to New Orleans and founded his own Santeria house, and thus was
one of the younger padrinos working in the religion. He had a web site
with his picture on it. He published lots of interesting material on
Santeria. He said he had opened a Santeria shop, a botanica, in New
Orleans. He told of travelling to this town or that to perform a
cleansing or an initiation. He told of making his own herbal oils. This
went on for years, Asiya. YEARS. Someone went to New Orleans to visit
him and found out that the street address he gave for his shop was not a
real address. He smoothly countered with a new address, said he'd moved.
The new address was checked out and it turned out to be within the lawn
area of Tulane University. Finally some local folks got online and told
who he was. He was not Latino. He was not a padrino. He had never been
initiated into Santeria. He phoned me and confessed. (Well, i say that
he confessed, but that may have all been made up too, you know...) He
told me that he was an obese, lonely, agoraphobic sexually inexperienced
man (who thought he "might" be gay but had never had a lover of either
gender) who lived with his aged grandmother and was afriad to leave the
house due to his obsessive fear that she might die while he was away. He
came from an old White New Orleans family, had never lived in Miami, was
not Latino, and had never practiced Santeria, although he "admired" it.

So what does having a web site prove?

It proves that you can put together html coding.

I am submitting this revised timeline, incorporating information
included in both the version submitted by Catherine Yronwode and
Trisktras, contrasting and attempting to eliminate the editorial bias
of both versions to arrive at an impartial and objective rendering.

Timeline of the Golden Dawn Conflict

1981
Chic Cicero allegedly charged with discharging a firearm within city
limits, Muscogee County, GA.; data supplied by many; appears to be
true. (Case 43488, filed 2/3/81) (submitted by Catharine Yronwode)

1982
Cris Monnastre allegedly approaches Chic Cicero and Larry Epperson and
invites them to begin to work together with her. This association
becomes the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Cicero files letters of
incorporation in 1988. (submitted by Trisktras)

1983
Chic Cicero allegedly charged with wife beating/assault with a deadly
weapon, Muskogee County, GA; data supplied by many; appears to be
true. (Case 47626X, aggravated assault, filed 8/31/83) (submitted by
Catharine Yronwode)

January, 1994
Cris Monnastre, Praemonstratix General of HOGD, allegedly leaves Chic
Cicero's home with David Griffin after an argument with Cciero. Upon
returning to Los Angeles, the Northridge earthquake hits. Co-chiefs
Chic Cicero and Larry Epperson allegedly "resign" GH Soror MdA (Cris
Monnastre) by telling the order that she "resigned."
Monnastre the order with two new Chiefs. David Griffin becomes the
Imperator of Monnastre’s HOGD.
(submitted by anon user Trisktras)
This schism appears to be the root of the entire conflict. (Comment by
Mira Beline.)

February, 1994
David Griffin founds the Isis-Nut temple in Stockholm and registers
the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn trademark in Sweden. He
immediately afterwards uses this trademark as the basis to register
the same trademark in the newly created OHIM trademark office for the
entire European Union. (submitted by Trisktras)

March, 1995
Chic Cicero files to register the HOGD trademark in the USA. Cris
Monnastre and Griffin hire Stewart MacKenzie, the attorney who won the
Marcello Motta vs. OTO case to defend their interests and file formal
opposition to Cicero's trademark application. Cicero and Babwahsing
allegedly begin anonymously publishing Nazi rumors about Griffin on
the internet. Cicero's alleged involvement with the New Jersey,
Cavalcanti crime family, strip clubs, and pimping are also exposed to
the public for the first time.
(submitted by Trisktras)

1994-1996
Anonymous usenet posters cite links to rabidly anti-Griffin web
pages, filled with slanderous statements. Meanwhile, other anonymous
usenet posters publish details shaming and damaging to the reputations
of
Chic and Tabatha Cicero. All these posts seem to be backlash from
the HOGD trademark conflict. (Submitted by Cathrine Yronwode).

March 1996
The HOGD trademark conflict is settled. Cicero, Griffin, and Monnastre
sign an agreement to share the "Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn"
trademark on a world-wide basis. Cicero gains partial ownership of the
mark in Europe. Griffin-Monnastre gain partial ownership of the mark
in the USA. Griffin and Monnastre, upon reaching this agreement with
Cicero, withdraw their trademark opposition.
(submitted by Trisktras)

1997
Griffin and Monnastre, together with the Ahathoor Temple No. 7 in
Paris, the August Order of the Mystic Rose, and a temple in South
America form an international Conferation of the Hermetic Order of the
Golden Dawn.
(submitted by Trisktras)

Carroll "Poke" Runyon publishes "Secrets of the Golden Dawn Cypher
Manuscript" with foreword by Pat Zalewski and afterword by R. A.
Gilbert.
(submitted by Catharine Yronwode)

At a Golden Dawn conference in the UK, R. A. Gilbert delivers a paper
allegedly savaging the history and reputation of the Societas
Rosicruciana in America, an order that had been moribund owing to a
court dispute among senior members concerned with a land deal that had
gone wrong under the Imperatrix Lucia Grolsch. The SRIAmerica was
later revived by a member, and new Imperatrix, Soror Maria, and
continues to exist" -- says anonymous poster ANON Jean.
(submitted by Catharine Yronwode)

SRIA (America) Imperatrix, Sister Lucia Grosch, is sued by Frank
Modica over a land deal gone sour. Destitute, she Grosch forced to
accept money from Maria Babwahsing to settle the suit. The transfer
of power from Grosch to Babwahsing is alleged to have occurred under
both financial and physical coercion. (submitted by Trisktras, but
toned down by Mira Beline.)

1999
The Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega and its outer order the
Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn proclaim the Reformatio
Fraternitatis, Anno 1999, moving all published Golden Dawn material to
the outer order and replacing this material with a new Second Order
curriculum derived entirely from confidential, pre-Golden Dawn
Rosicrucian and Hermetic esoteric transmissions.
(submitted by Trisktras)

Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn publishing releases David Griffin's
landmark work, The Ritual Magic Manual. In this work, Griffin follows
the same lines of synthesis employed by Mathers for elemental magic
uniting the Qabalistic and Enochian systems and achieves the same
integration for Planetary and Zodiacal magick. Griffin's work makes
the magick of the R.R. et A.C. easy to practice for the first time.
(submitted by Trisktras)

2002
The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, under Griffin's leadership,
opens the Harparkrat Cyber Temple, making the HOGD system available
for students living in outlying areas for the first time, yet
preserving the sanctity of physical initiations in real temples.
(submitted by Trisktras)

In October, 2002, Griffin and other HOGD/A+O leaders allegedly meet in
Paris with representatives of the Continental European Hermetic and
Rosicrucian secret alchemical society alleged to have given the Cypher
manuscripts to Kenneth MacKenzie with with the HOGD was created and
the material for the RR et AC to S.L. MacGregor Mathers. Mathers
referred to these Continental Adepts, this "source of origin" of the
original Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn as the "Secret Chiefs."
Representatives of this order allegedly give Griffin the rituals and
the esoteric teachings that had been intended for the "Third Order" of
the original, Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
(submitted by Trisktras)

Chic Cicero, allegedly breaks his agreement with Griffin not to
initiate each other's students by initiating HOGD/A+O member, Mark
Griggs. Griffin breaks off all contact with Cicero. Cicero allegedly
begins to tortuously interfere in the internal affairs of HOGD/A+O by
offering advanced grades and trademark licenses to anyone willing to
cross over and foment schism.
(submitted by Trisktras)

2003
The Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn is founded by a group of
individuals alleged on Wikipedia to be “Satanists.” (submitted by
Trisktras)
Catheriine Yronwode disputes this, claiming that OSOGD leaders are
more like “Buddhists,” yet confirms that her husband is a self-avowed,
Satanist belongs to the OSOGD. Chic Cicero allegedly “certifies” this
group. (comments by Mira Beline)

According to court documents, Chic Cicero, due to inappropriate
statements on the trademark page of his website, allegedly “solicits
trademark infringement” and to "nakedly license" a host of self-
initiation, astral initiation, and allegedly “Satanist” groups to use
the "Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn" trademark. (“Naked licensing”
is a legal term that means improperly granting use of a trademark to a
third party without the supervision and control required by law.
(submitted by Trisktras, but amended by Mira Beline for objectivity
and supporting arguments according to court documents.)

2005
Cicero breaches his contract with Griffin and files a frivolous
lawsuit in U.S. Federal Court against Griffin. Griffin's HOGD
interests are represented by Florida attorney, Jorge Hevia III.
(submitted by Trisktras. Toned down by Mira Beline).

2006
Griffin's HOGD temples in US see many members decamp to Cicero's HOGD,
says ANON Jean (submitted by Catherine Yronwode)
This is disputed by Griffin HOGD/A+O member, Soror MDLL (Leigh-Ann
Grace Bachmann) who claims that the international HOGD/A+O is larger
than ever before and that she personally tutors students from three
continents. It does, however, support the allegation made by Trisktras
above, claiming that Cicero was tortuously interfering in Griffin’s
order by offering advanced grades and trademark licenses to those
willing to cross over to Cicero’s order and in exchange for fomenting
schism. (Comment from Mira Beline.)

2005-2007
Renewed defamatory posting on usenet. Anonymous usenet posters cite
links to rabidly anti-Griffin web pages, filled with slanderous
statements. Meanwhile, other anonymous usenet posters cite links to
sites publishing details shaming and damaging to the reputations of
Chic and Tabatha Cicero. This defamation appears to be a backlash from
the HOGD trademark lawsuit. (submitted by Catherine Yronwode)

January, 17 2007

There seems to be some disagreement as to exactly who lost the HOGD
trademark lawsuit. In reality, noone “won” the case as it never went
to trial. Instead a settlement was reached and the claims and counter-
claims of both sides were dismissed with prejudice. (Commentary from
Mara Belings)

Catherine Yronwode alleges:

“Griffin loses lawsuit to Cicero over the use of HOGD name in America,
then relocates in Germany, according to ANON Jean (date supplied by
ANON Asiya)

Griffin’s order, contrary to the above assertion, still calls itself
the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn on its web site. Moreover, the
legal statement on their website claims that they “victoriously
preserved the right to use the name of thief outer order, the Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn, without further interference in the
USA.” (Commentary from Mara Belings).

Trisktras alleges as follows:

“Cicero settles litigation with Griffin, caving in and basically
giving Griffin everything that he wanted, including the permanent
right to call his outer order the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in
the USA. There are several reasons why Cicero caved in so badly. The
first is that Griffin had managed for all intents and purposes to
bankrupt Cicero with his his attorney's scorched earth legal strategy,
forcing Cicero to reply to 115 filings that were made during the case.
Moreover, only weeks before the scheduled trial, Cicero found that he
had painted himself into a legal corner. On the one hand, Cicero faced
at least a 90% chance of haiing his USA trademark cancelled by the
judge if the case went to trial for the following reasons:
1. Cicero and his order were clearly not the "source of origin" of the
Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. (His attorneys had been silly
enough to argue that they were in their early filings, thus
inadvertently setting Cicero up for a fall.)
2. Cicero was clearly guilty of soliciting infringement of the mark on
his website. This alone was grounds enough for the mark to be
cancelled.
3. Cicero was guilty of "naked" licensing, which means licensing third
parties to use the trademark without proper supervision and control.
His website announcements made this easy to prove as well. This also
in itself would have been sufficient grounds for the judge to cancel
the mark should the case have gone to trial as well.
On the other hand, it had become increasingly clear that, even in a
best case scenario, should Cicero by some miracle of fate have won a
judgement against Griffin for trademark infringement in the USA, this
would have in itself been grounds for Griffin to obtain a similar
judgement against Cicero for his infringing on Griffin's trademark of
the same name in Europe. Thus, caught in a lose-lose situation, Cicero
caved in and gave Griffin everything he wanted in order not to get his
trademark cancelled in trial.
My basis of this analysis is a careful reading of all of the court
documents available online through the US Federal court's Pacer
system which I downloaded. Hevia's scorched earth policy is
reprehensible though not unethical. But then again, Cicero did not
comply with an existing contract. At the same time, Griffin's
advantage is that his EU trademark does not have to follow these same
"source of origin" requirements.
(submitted by Trisktras).
__________________________

Whereas the conclusion of of Catherine Yronwode appears inaccurate,
statements by Trisktras appear to be generally accurate according to
an independent examination of the relevant court documents downloaded
from Pacer. However, it is clear that neither side “won” the case as
both sides apparently claim, since the case never went to trial, but
rather a “confidential settlement agreement” was reached that remains
under the “perpetual jurisdiction or the court to enforce upon motion
from either party on an equal basis.”

The confidentiality provision pf the agreement presently obscures a
full discosure of the relevant facts regarding the actual outcome of
the case. It appears certain, however, that Griffin fully retains the
right to call his order the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. This is
supported by legal statements at www.golden-dawn.com and born out by
the fact that the order is still calling its outer order the Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn, even in the USA. (Submitted by Mara
Belings.)

February, 2007
Cicero's claims against Griffin and Griffin's counter claims against
Cicero are dismissed with prejudice on an equal basis by the judge.
Within hours, Griffin announces on the HOGD’s Yahoo forum that his
order is in possession of the entire Third Order transmission
originally intended for the original HOGD, and that its curriculum
includes the sexual practices of Hermetic Inner Alchemy and Alchemical
Theurgy, that had been obtained by GD founder, S.L. MacGregor Mathers
from the Continental European "source of origin" of the original
Golden Dawn.(Continental Adepts called Secret Chiefs by Mathers)
(submitted by Trisktras).

It appears that Griffin was just waiting for the litigation to be
settled to unleash the above bombshell. With this move, Griffin has
placed the other “Golden Dawn” orders in a situation where it appears
that the HOGD/A+O teaches the entire Three Order system, including
Hermetic Inner Alchemy and Sexual Magick, whereas the other orders
have only the material published by Regardie to offer, which ends at
the 5=6 level. From my perspective, this is the true reason for much
of the invective against Griffin following the settlement of the HOGD,
Inc. vs. HOGD/A+O litigation. (Submitted by Mira Beline).

May, 2007

The validity of "Golden Dawn Lineage" claims made on Chic Cicero's
HOGD and Maria Babwahsiing's SRIA websites are challenged. Prominent
Golden Dawn historian Anthony Fleming (pseudonymous with HOGD, Inc.
Principal Board Director, Tony Fuller) publicly disputes these claims,
in the absence of supporting evidence. Until the present, no such
evidence is forthcoming.
(submitted by Trisktras, but toned down for objectivity by Mara
Belings)

As a result of this “Golden Dawn Lineage” dispute, anonymous posters
once again defame both Griffin and Cicero on the Usenet as well as on
linked

Immediately following the above disclosure, a renewed round of
anonymous posts appear on usenet defaming both Griffin and the
Ciceros, apparently as a backlash over the SRIA/GD ‘lineage’ dispute
(submitted by Mara Belings toning down statements made by Trisktras to
make them more objective).

Catherine Yronwode,
I read the draft of your Programme Booklet yesterday. To me it looks
like there is a still a LOT of editorial bias directed against certain
persons and organizations. I am therefore making the following
contribution to try and make things more factual and equitable. Call
me Anon: fairplayGD if you like. I don't care. Just please add the
material for greater balance, please, and continue to whittle away
your apparent editorial bias.

I. Persons
Babwasigh, Maria
Board Member of Chic Cicero's irregular Golden Dawn organization,
H.O.G.D., Inc., Imperatrix of the irregular Soc. Ros. in America.
Alleged to have financially coerced Lucia Grosch into turning over
control of the S.R.I.America to her. Financed Grosch's defense against
Frank Modica in a land deal gone sour, allegedly in exchange for
turning over control of SRIAm to Babwahsing. Sued Wang Li, Dale
Buchholz, Ralph Fytton, and Robert Word for libel, but failed to
obtain a favorable judgement. Makes false "Golden Dawn Lineage" claims
on her sria.org website that have been refuted by noted Golden Dawn
historian and fellow Cicero HOGD, Inc. Board Member, Tony Fuller (aka
Anthony Fleming) and others. Alleged ties with New Jersey's Cavalcanti
crime family.

Bourke, Desmond
A key player in nearly every field of British esotericism in the 20th
Century. Initiate of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (7=4),
Fellowship of the Rosy Cross (VIII Degree), Order of the Morning Star
(Adeptus Maximus), numerous Druidic Orders (Arch Druid), High Grade
Freemason, IX Degree S.R.I.A. (Anglia), Gnostic Bishop, Martinist
(S.I.), founder of the Hermetic Martinist Order, Reaux-Crois, Chief of
the Sovereign Imperium of the Mysteries. Chartered the Serapis Temple
of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in London in the 1980s.

Cicero, Chic
Head or an irregular Golden Dawn organization called HOGD, Inc. Claims
to have "self-iniitiated" himself into 0=0. Admitted to Ivica Sabljic
in an email that has been frequently published on the internet, among
others, that he was not initiated into any grade of the G.D. by Israel
Regardie. Subsequent to Regardie's death in 1985, allegedly initiated
1-10 through 5=6 by Larry Epperson (a/k/a Adam Forrest). Criminal
record, including one open warrant in Georgia, for GBH and assault
with a deadly weapon upon ex-wife Eva Marie Cicero. Fled Georgia in
1986 to avoid further prosecution. Awarded Bad Conduct Discharge from
National Guard for striking a commissioned officer. Cicero was a
private first class at the time. Until fleeing Georgia in 1986,
operated the "Shady Lady Lounge, a strip club in Columbus, Gerorgia,
alleged to have been a front for prostitution. Alleged ties with New
Jersey's Cavalcanti crime family.

Cicero, Tabatha
Artist of the "Golden Dawn Tarot's cartoonish illustrations.
Stripper, worked under the stage name "Samantha Midnight" at Chic
Cicero's "Shady Lady Lounge" in Columbus, GA. Alleged arrest record
for prostitution and solicitation. Married Cicero after his messy
divorce from Eva Maria Cicero. Fled Columbus GA with Cicero in 1986.
Had her fifteen minutes of fame when her photograph as "Samantha
Midnight", wearing only a g-string and propellers on her nipples made
the rounds of the Occult community!

Fuller, Tony (a/k/a Fleming, Anthony)
G.D. scholar. Wrote introductions to numerous of Darch Kuntz's "Golden
Dawn Sourceworks" series. Board Director of Chic Cicero's HOGD, Inc.,
yet recently refuted the "Golden Dawn Lineage" claims (published on
Cicero's website in the Feather of Maat I, since removed)" through a
bogus charter allegedly issued in 1997 by the Lucia Grosch/Babwahsing
SRIA (America), more properly Soc. Ros. in America since this
organization is not affiliated with SRIA (Anglia). Additionally
refuted the outrageous "Golden Dawn Lineage" claims of Grosch/
Babwahsing's SRIA.

Gilbert, R.A.
Noted Golden Dawn scholar and contracted antiquarian of Maria
Babwahsing. Amassed a small fortune trafficking in Golden Dawn
documents, mostly sold to Babwahsing, thus biased in all matters
concerning the Cicero/Babwahsing Golden Dawn faction. Argues in his
published works that there never was any valid Golden Dawn lineage and
that the Golden Dawn was founded on a fraud perpetrated by W.Wynn
Wescott.

Griffin, David
Chief Adept and Supreme Magus of of S.L. MacGregor Mathers'
Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega. High Grade Freemason (Swedish
Rite) and member of the S.R.I.C.F., the only legitimate branch of Soc.
Ros. in the USA. Gnostic Bishop, Initiate of the Gold und Rosenkreutz
Order, the Fratres Lucis (Asiatic Brethren), and of several
Continental European secret alchemical societies whose names remain
secret.
Author of the Ritual Magick Manual - completed the synthesis of
Enocian and Qabalistic Magick begun by S.L. MacGregor Mathers. In
1999, following a Rosicrucian cycle of 111 years, proclaimed the
"Reformatio Fraternitatis, 1999" of the A+O, moved all Second Order
(RR et AC) material profaned by publication by Aleister Crowley and
Israel Regardie to the A+O's outer order, the Hermetic Order of the
Golden Dawn, making traditional RR+AC magick immediately available to A
+O's beginning students. Prepared a new, unpublished RR+AC curriculum,
derived entirely from confidential Hermetic and Rosicrucian
transmissions.
In 2002, reestablished contact with the Continental European "source
of origin" of the original HOGD, obtaining the esoteric transmission
originally intended for the Third Order of the original HOGD,
comprising the grades of Magister Templi (8=3), Magus (9=2), and
Ipsissimus (10=1). Includes the sexual teachings of Hermetic Inner
Alchemy and Alchemical Theurgy originally taught by S.L. MacGregor
Mathers (obtained by Mathers from the Contintental European "Secret
Chiefs of the Third Order" in Paris). Under Griffin's leadership,
Mathers' A+O has become the only order ever to teach and initiate in
all of the grades of the entire three order system originally intended
for the original HOGD, from Neophyte through Ipsissimus.

Hevia, Jorge III
Preamonstrator Ordinis of the HOGD/A+O and Second Adept of the RR et
AC. Attorney to Griffin. Over a period of two and a quarter years, and
165 filings, bankrupted Cicero and totally defeated Cicero's claims.
Filed substantial counter-claim's against Cicero, and obtained for
Griffin's HOGD/AO the perpetual and irrevocable right to use their
name and trademark in the USA without further interference from
Cicero, and preserved Griffin's right to compel Cicero to comply with
the Settlement Agreement through the U.S. District Court. Obtained
full dismissal with prejudice of Cicero's claims.

Monnastre, Cris (a/k/a Behman, Patricia)
Wrote introduction to Griffin's "The Ritual Magic Manual" and to
Regardie's 6th edition of "The Golden Dawn." Formerly, Griffin's Co-
Chief as Praemonstrattrx. One of only four students ever taken on by
Regardie (the other three were the late William Kennedy, Alan Miller
(a/k/a Christopher Hyatt), and Larry Epperson (a/k/a Adam Forrest)).
Of these four, Monnastre was chosen by Regardie to help him revive the
Golden Dawn in the United States.

Ruggiu, Jean Pascal
Chief Adept of S.L. MacGregor Mathers, L'Ordre Rosicrucianne de Alpha
et Omega and Imperator of the Ahathoor Temple No. 7 in France. High
Grade Freemason, 95 degree, Memphis and Mizraim Egyptian Rite of
Freemasonry. Gnostic Bishop, Imperator of the F.A.R.+C., Martinist
(S.I.), Reax-Crois, and initiate of several Continental European
secret societies whose names remain secret.

Tereschenko, Marquis Nicholas (Deceased)
The Marquis Tereschenko's family in the Ukraine was raised to nobility
by the former Czar of Russia. Former Praemonstrator of the S.L.
MacGregor Mather's Ahathoor Temple No. 7 in Paris, High Grade
Freemason, Adeptus Maximus of the Order of the Morning Star

Mizraim Egyptian Rite of Freemasonry. Arch Druid (United Ancient
Order of Druids), Gnostic Bishop, initiate of the F.A.R.+C., Initiate
of the Rose Croix d'Orient, Martinist (S.I.), and Reax-Crois.

II. Organizations
August Order of the Mystic Rose
The August Order of the Mystic Rose is formally affiliated with the
Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the outer order of the Rosicrucian
Order of Alpha et Omega® and has established full international
recognition and reciprocity with A+O temples world-wide. In addition
to holding the affiliations of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn,
the AOMR additionally holds significant additional Hermetic,
Rosicrucian, and Gnostic affiliations and esoteric transmissions.
According to its web site, "the August Order of the Mystic Rose is a
modern link in the ancient chain of mystic studies known as the Secret
Doctrine, which has been handed down since time immemorial in the
instituted Temples of the Mysteries."

Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn®, outer order of the Rosicrucian
Order of Alpha et Omega®
The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn is the First Order of the
Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega®, founded in Paris, France by S.L.
MacGregor Mathers in 1906. The Alpha et Omega today holds the
distinction of being the only order that offers physical initiation
and teaching in the entire three order system originally conceived for
the original Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, from the 0=0 grade of
Neophyte through the 10=1 grade of Ipsissimus.
Unlike in other "Golden Dawn" orders, students of the Alpha et Omega
begin to practice magick immediately upon entering its First Order,
the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, then work a secret, magical and
alchemical curriculum in its Second Order, the RR+AC, derived entirely
from unpublished Hermetic and Rosicrucian esoteric transmissions. The
Alpha et Omega picks up where other groups leave off, as the only
Hermetic or Rosicrucian order with a secret, Second Order curriculum
going far beyond well known, published material. The Alpha et Omega's
exclusive Third Order curriculum, comprising the grades of Magister
Templi, Magus, and Ipssissimus, includes the sexual mysteries of
Hermetic "Inner" Alchemy, and Alchemical Theurgy; originally obtained
by founder, S.L. MacGregor Mathers from the Secret Chiefs in Paris and
that have at all times comprised the highest teachings of the Hermetic
as well as of the Rosicrucian traditions
Although the Rosicrucian Order Alpha et Omega has always been based in
Europe, it nonetheless operates a world wide network of temples of its
outer order, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, including in the
United States and Canada. The HOGD/A+O exclusively performs physical
initiations in real temples. The Alpha et Omega condemns the dubious,
non-traditional "self" and purely "astral" initiation being advocated
and practiced elsewhere.

Hermetic Order of the Morning Star, dba Esoteric Order of the Golden
Dawn
The Hermetic Order of the Morning Star, doing business as the
"Esoteric" Order of the Golden Dawn, is the primary advocate and
practitioner of dubious, purely "Astral" initiation and is led by
known sexual predator Robert Zink, who introduced the non-traditional
practices of blood sacrifice, the ritual scarring and flogging of
candidates, and certain black magical rites into his order. Zink's
EOGD nonetheless preys on an unsuspecting public by improperly
marketing itself as: "Faithful to the classical traditional Golden
Dawn tradition" and even as "Guardians of the True Golden Dawn."
Robert Zink is known to have sexually abused and impregnated the
underage daughter of one of his order members. The EOGD sells an
expensive correspondence course that consists primarily of public
domain, original HOGD materials published by Regardie that Robert Zink
has improperly attempted to copyright. The entire content of an
original version of EOGD's correspondence course has been made
available to download free from the internet by one of its original
compilers. Robert Zink's order was formerly known as the Hermetic
Order of the Morning Star, Inc. (HOMSI) (1997-2003), as the Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn, Intl. (HOGDI) (1993-1997), as the Eternal
Golden Dawn (EGD) (1991-1993), and as the Eternal Circle of Light
(ECL) (1987?-1991).

Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn
The Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn is a local study group based
in Richmond, California using original HOGD and Stella Matutina
materials published by Israel Regardie diluted with the Thelemic
teachings of Aleister Crowley. The group is led by Samuel Webster and
its Imperator, Joseph Max, who operates a Yahoo group largely
dedicated to defaming and disparaging the Hermetic Order of the Golden
Dawn, the outer order of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega®. The
OSOGD Imperator advocates the profanation of all Hermetic and
Rosicrucian mysteries, arguing that esoteric secrets should be proven
by publication on the internet and made available for free
distribution like the 'Open Source' code of computer programmers. The
Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega recently took issue with OSOGD's
advocacy of profanation. In response, OSOGD's Imperator wrote: "It
matters not if anyone agrees or not. It will happen. Welcome to the
Information Age."

Ordre Rosicrucien de l'Alpha Et Omega®
The "Ordre Rosicrucien de l'Alpha Et Omega®" is presided over in
France by Jean-Pascal Ruggiu, the present Imperator of the Ahathoor
Temple No. 7, of Paris, France, The Ahathoor Temple was founded in
Paris by S.L. MacGregor Mathers in 1893. In addition to its multiple
affiliations of L'Ordre Hermétique de l'Aube Dorée®, the Ahathoor
Temple additionally possesses a plethora of other substantial
Rosicrucian and Hermetic affiliations and esoteric transmissions. Jean-
Pascal Ruggiu has been hailed by many as a modern Eliphas Levi and is
one of the most important Hermetic and Rosicrucian occultists of our
time. The "Ordre Rosicrucien de l'Alpha Et Omega®" is the exclusive
French jurisdiction the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the outer
order of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega®.

Sociatas Rosicruciana in America
The Soc. Ros. in America is an irregular Sociatas Rosicruciana that
was founded by George Plummer. Plummer attempted to gain recognition
and regularity for the Soc. Ros. in America from the Sociatas
Rosicruciana in Anglia and corresponded briefly in this regard with W.
Wynn Wescott. Soc. Ros. in Anglia, however, rebuffed the Soc. Ros. in
America as it already had agreements with the Freemasonic S.R.I.C.F.,
granting the latter exclusive regularity and recognition in the USA.
Soc. Ros. in America eventually managed to get a Rosicrucian charter
from the Quakertown Rosicrucians descending from Pascal Beverly
Randolph. Aleister Crowley was appointed to the Soc. Ros. in America's
board of directors and the Society began to work an odd version of
Golden Dawn ritual cobbled together from Crowley's Equnox. The group
was presided over by "Sister Lucia" Grosch in the 1990s. Any lineal
affiliation that the group may have ever enjoyed ended when Grosch
dissolved the high council of the order in the 1980's. Grosch was sued
by Frank Modica in the 1990's in a suit that bankrupted Grosch over a
land deal gone bad. Destitute, Grosch was obliged to accept financial
assistance from Maria Babwahsing in order to settle the suit, in
exchange for handing over the leadership of the order to Babwahsing.
Under the leadership of Maria Babwahsing, the Soc. Ros. in America has
made a number of false and unsubstantiated lineage on its sria.org
website. These have recently been debunked by noted Golden Dawn
scholar and Cicero HOGD, Inc. Board member, Tony Fuller (aka Anthony
Fleming).

Stella Matutina Order of the Golden Dawn
The so-called, Stella Matutina Order of the Golden Dawn is a "self
initiation" study group that was founded by Mark Griggs, an expelled
former member of the HOGD/A+O. The study group is an extension of
Griggs' Yahoo! club, the "Magical Working Group."

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Inc.®
The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Inc. is an irregular Golden
Dawn order, presided over by Charles "Chic" Cicero, the former
proprietor of the "Shady Lady Lounge" strip club. Cicero, who only has
a 10th grade education, is alleged to have physically abused his
former wife, Eva Marie Cicero, and to still have links with the New
Jersey, Cavalcanti crime family. HOGD, Inc. was founded in 1982, when
Cris Monnastre invited Chic Cicero and Larry Epperson to form a triad
of Chiefs with her, and to constitute a chapter of the Hermetic Order
of the Golden Dawn in the USA. Cicero filed articles of incorporation
in 1988. There was a schism between Monnastre and Cicero in 1994,
allegedly provoked by an argument over pizza. HOGD, Inc., under the
leadership of Cicero has a long history of highly aggressive, although
equally ineffectual litigation. HOGD, Inc. vs. Wang Li, Dale Bucholz,
Robert Word, and Ralph Fytton, a libel suit filed by HOGD, Inc. was
dismissed with prejudice after a settlement agreement was reached.
HOGD, Inc. vs. HOGD/A+O, a trademark suit instigated by Cicero was
equally ineffectual. A settlement was recently reached in which HOGD,
Inc. agreed never to interfere in the affairs of HOGD/A+O again.

Whare Atua Temple
The Whare Atua research temple presently operates in New Zealand,
where Dr. Robert William Felkin established the Smaragdum Thalasses
Temple of the Stella Matutina in 1912, which later became known by the
Maori name of Whare Ra or "the House of the Sun." The present "Whare
Atua" temple, presided over by Jean de Cabalis, similarly means "House
of the Gods." Jean de Cabalis, former student of the late Frank Salt
of Whare Ra, is the present Chief of the Whare Atua temple. Frank Salt
joined the Order of the Golden Dawn (Stella Matutina) in 1936 and
progressed through all its grades obtaining the level of Adeptus
Exemptus (7=4) as well as holding the offices of Hierophant,
Cancellarius and Demonstrator (Praemonstrator) of Whare Ra. Whare Atua
Temple holds multiple lineal affiliations and esoteric transmissions
from various sources, and is formally affiliated with the Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn, the outer order of the Rosicrucian Order of
Alpha et Omega®.

Catherine Yronwode,
I read the draft of your Programme Booklet yesterday. To me it looks
like there is a still a LOT of editorial bias directed against certain
persons and organizations. I am therefore making the following
contribution to try and make things more factual and equitable.
You do realize that there is a difference between fact and allegation, don't
you?

"Alleged to have financially coerced"

"allegedly in exchange for"

"Alleged ties with New Jersey's Cavalcanti crime family"

"allegedly initiated"

"alleged to have been a front for prostitution"

"Alleged arrest record"

"bogus charter allegedly issued"

And so on. I wonder why you would anonymously post a whole spate of
allegations and then try to pass them off as factual. Further, these
statements you make demonstrate a pronounced bias of your own even as you
proclaim that they are meant to correct an alleged editorial bias in Ms.
Yronwode's Booklet.

Actually, that is precisely what Ms. Yronwodes entire "programme"
booklet as well as her luckymojo website is doing.
"alleged Nazi", etc. Why should such allegations in one direction be
incorporated but not in the other? This is what I call editorial bias.
Indeed, allegations should either be allowed equally in ALL directions
or NOT AT ALL. Considering the state of Ms. Yronwodes most recent
revision, these allegations, which have been stated here numerous
times before, merely create a sense of balance to what Ms. Yronwode
has incorporated thus far.. Moreover, there are numerous factual
statements contained in my post that have been missing from the most
recent revision indeed almost entirely dominated by allegation.

She's reporting who made what allegation. You haven't even done that much.
Instead, you have treated the allegations you liked as if they were facts
and the ones you didn't like as if they were lies. That's rank demagoguery.

If you wish to add some new allegations to Cat's list, feel free to do so.
However, it's just plain silly to complain that she also lists those you
didn't come up with yourself.

Indeed, if you analyze carefully the content of the "biographical"
entries of Ms. Yronwode's "programme booklet" you will note that they
are extremely short on biographical detail of the relative individuals
and that the entries include almost exclusively allegation, for which
the apparent solitary criteria for inclusion is that the allegations
were made on alt.magick. Thus my entries should likewise be included,
albeit of course with the customary caveat, "says ANON: fairplaygd."

she has ignored, when they were made, and if they have ever previously been

allegations and then try to pass them off as factual. Further, these
statements you make demonstrate a pronounced bias of your own even as you
proclaim that they are meant to correct an alleged editorial bias in Ms.

Because they are not serious.

Because they have, and have never had, any evidence, but are hoping
that by squealing loudly enough, they'll be noticed. It's been going

If you object even slightly, the nutters will start calling you 'the

Welcome to the asylum.

Maybe, as an exercise, we should start with just one allegation, and
take it apart.

So David, cupcake, I know you're reading here these days, so what is
the evidence that Charles 'Chic' Cicero 'pistol whipped' Lucia
Grosch ?

Let's sit back and wait.

Just a quick question to anyone who feels like answering - has anyone

I have found typically debunked claims on the history are just ignored
and a new thesis arises, rather than anything being retracted or
modified.

The personal allegations however seem to be repeated ad nauseaum.

Occasionally an essay making great claims is withdrawn entirely, such
as Griffin's 'Will the Real Rosicrucian Order Stand Up?' , a foolish
tome on David's site which examines the claims of every significant
English-language R+C group and surprisingly finds all to be invalid -
except David's order.

That one vanished without trace, at the same time as David's claims
regarding having the 'esoteric transmissions' of the Freres Aines de
la Rose Croix were found to be shaky - the Freres' history was exposed
to be false and David must have felt himself too vulnerable to be
picking a fight with every other Order at the same time.

GD magical groups are not typically good at eating humble pie.

I agree that all of the various existing versions of the proposed
Golden Dawn & Rosicrucian Program Booklet appear biased in one way or
another, including those of Catherine Yronwode, ANON Trisktras, and
ANON fairplayGD. I have therefore taken grate pains to integrate the
contributions of all three aforementioned editors into one single,
coherent version. The result contrasts quite divergent points of view,
and at least appears somewhat more objective, although EVERYTHING
included should be taken with a grain of salt as it nearly all comes
from unverified sources.

Nonetheless, the resultant synthesis makes for extremely interesting
and entertaining reading. And so, without further ado, I give you the
Mara Belings, May 21, 2007 recension of the "Golden Dawn & Rosicrucian
Program Booklet." This will, of course, be updated as additional
information becomes available. Enjoy!

THE GOLDEN DAWN AND ROSICRUCIAN PROGRAM BOOKLET

I. TIMELINE

1981
Chic Cicero allegedly charged with discharging a firearm within city
limits, Muscogee County, GA.; data supplied by many; appears to be
true. (Case 43488, filed 2/3/81) (submitted by Catharine Yronwode)

1982
Cris Monnastre allegedly approaches Chic Cicero and Larry Epperson
and
invites them to begin to work together with her. This association
becomes the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Cicero files letters
of
incorporation in 1988.

Cris Monnastre, Praemonstratix General of HOGD, allegedly leaves
Chic
Cicero's home with David Griffin after an argument with Cciero. Upon
returning to Los Angeles, the Northridge earthquake hits. Co-chiefs
Chic Cicero and Larry Epperson allegedly "resign" GH Soror MdA (Cris
Monnastre) by telling the order that she "resigned."
Monnastre the order with two new Chiefs. David Griffin becomes the
Imperator of Monnastre's HOGD.
(submitted by anon user Trisktras)
This schism appears to be the root of the entire conflict. (Comment
by
Mira Beline.)

Cris
Monnastre and Griffin hire Stewart MacKenzie, the attorney who won
the
Marcello Motta vs.

Meanwhile, other anonymous
usenet posters publish details shaming and damaging to the
reputations
of
Chic and Tabatha Cicero. All these posts seem to be backlash from
the HOGD trademark conflict. (Submitted by Cathrine Yronwode).

March 1996
The HOGD trademark conflict is settled. Cicero, Griffin, and
Monnastre
sign an agreement to share the "Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn"
trademark on a world-wide basis. Cicero gains partial ownership of
the
mark in Europe. Griffin-Monnastre gain partial ownership of the mark
in the USA. Griffin and Monnastre, upon reaching this agreement with
Cicero, withdraw their trademark opposition.
(submitted by Trisktras)

1997
Griffin and Monnastre, together with the Ahathoor Temple No. 7 in
Paris, the August Order of the Mystic Rose, and a temple in South
America form an international Conferation of the Hermetic Order of
the
Golden Dawn.
(submitted by Trisktras)

Carroll "Poke" Runyon publishes "Secrets of the Golden Dawn Cypher
Manuscript" with foreword by Pat Zalewski and afterword by R. A.
Gilbert.
(submitted by Catharine Yronwode)

At a Golden Dawn conference in the UK, R. A. Gilbert delivers a paper
allegedly savaging the history and reputation of the Societas
Rosicruciana in America, an order that had been moribund owing to a
court dispute among senior members concerned with a land deal that
had
gone wrong under the Imperatrix Lucia Grolsch.

Fraternitatis, Anno 1999, moving all published Golden Dawn material
to
the outer order and replacing this material with a new Second Order
curriculum derived entirely from confidential, pre-Golden Dawn

In October, 2002, Griffin and other HOGD/A+O leaders allegedly meet
in
Paris with representatives of the Continental European Hermetic and
Rosicrucian secret alchemical society alleged to have given the
Cypher
manuscripts to Kenneth MacKenzie with with the HOGD was created and
the material for the RR et AC to S.L. MacGregor Mathers. Mathers
referred to these Continental Adepts, this "source of origin" of the
original Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn as the "Secret Chiefs."
Representatives of this order allegedly give Griffin the rituals and
the esoteric teachings that had been intended for the "Third Order"
of
the original, Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

2003
The Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn is founded by a group of
individuals alleged on Wikipedia to be "Satanists." (submitted by
Trisktras)
Catheriine Yronwode disputes this, claiming that OSOGD leaders are
more like "Buddhists," yet confirms that her husband is a self-
avowed,
Satanist belongs to the OSOGD. Chic Cicero allegedly "certifies" this
group. (comments by Mira Beline)

According to court documents, Chic Cicero, due to inappropriate
statements on the trademark page of his website, allegedly "solicits
trademark infringement" and to "nakedly license" a host of self-
initiation, astral initiation, and allegedly "Satanist" groups to use
the "Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn" trademark. ("Naked licensing"
is a legal term that means improperly granting use of a trademark to
a
third party without the supervision and control required by law.

2006
Griffin's HOGD temples in US see many members decamp to Cicero's
HOGD,
says ANON Jean (submitted by Catherine Yronwode)
This is disputed by Griffin HOGD/A+O member, Soror MDLL (Leigh-Ann
Grace Bachmann) who claims that the international HOGD/A+O is larger
than ever before and that she personally tutors students from three
continents. It does, however, support the allegation made by
Trisktras
above, claiming that Cicero was tortuously interfering in Griffin's
order by offering advanced grades and trademark licenses to those
willing to cross over to Cicero's order and in exchange for fomenting

This defamation appears to be a backlash
from
the HOGD trademark lawsuit. (submitted by Catherine Yronwode)

January, 17 2007

There seems to be some disagreement as to exactly who lost the HOGD
trademark lawsuit. In reality, noone "won" the case as it never went
to trial. Instead a settlement was reached and the claims and
counter-
claims of both sides were dismissed with prejudice. (Commentary from
Mara Belings)

Catherine Yronwode alleges:

"Griffin loses lawsuit to Cicero over the use of HOGD name in
America,
then relocates in Germany, according to ANON Jean (date supplied by
ANON Asiya)

Griffin's order, contrary to the above assertion, still calls itself
the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn on its web site. Moreover, the
legal statement on their website claims that they "victoriously
preserved the right to use the name of thief outer order, the
Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn, without further interference in the
USA." (Commentary from Mara Belings).

Trisktras alleges as follows:

"Cicero settles litigation with Griffin, caving in and basically
giving Griffin everything that he wanted, including the permanent
right to call his outer order the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn
in
the USA. There are several reasons why Cicero caved in so badly. The
first is that Griffin had managed for all intents and purposes to
bankrupt Cicero with his his attorney's scorched earth legal
strategy,
forcing Cicero to reply to 115 filings that were made during the
case.
Moreover, only weeks before the scheduled trial, Cicero found that he
had painted himself into a legal corner. On the one hand, Cicero
faced
at least a 90% chance of haiing his USA trademark cancelled by the
judge if the case went to trial for the following reasons:
1. Cicero and his order were clearly not the "source of origin" of
the
Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. (His attorneys had been silly
enough to argue that they were in their early filings, thus
inadvertently setting Cicero up for a fall.)
2. Cicero was clearly guilty of soliciting infringement of the mark
on
his website. This alone was grounds enough for the mark to be
cancelled.
3. Cicero was guilty of "naked" licensing, which means licensing
third
parties to use the trademark without proper supervision and control.
Thus, caught in a lose-lose situation,
Cicero
caved in and gave Griffin everything he wanted in order not to get
his
trademark cancelled in trial.
My basis of this analysis is a careful reading of all of the court
documents available online through the US Federal court's Pacer
system which I downloaded. Hevia's scorched earth policy is
reprehensible though not unethical. But then again, Cicero did not
comply with an existing contract. At the same time, Griffin's
advantage is that his EU trademark does not have to follow these same
"source of origin" requirements.
(submitted by Trisktras).
__________________________

Whereas the conclusion of of Catherine Yronwode appears inaccurate,
statements by Trisktras appear to be generally accurate according to
an independent examination of the relevant court documents downloaded
from Pacer. However, it is clear that neither side "won" the case as
both sides apparently claim, since the case never went to trial, but
rather a "confidential settlement agreement" was reached that remains
under the "perpetual jurisdiction or the court to enforce upon motion
from either party on an equal basis."

The confidentiality provision pf the agreement presently obscures a
full discosure of the relevant facts regarding the actual outcome of
the case. It appears certain, however, that Griffin fully retains the
right to call his order the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. This
is
supported by legal statements at www.golden-dawn.com and born out by
the fact that the order is still calling its outer order the Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn, even in the USA. (Submitted by Mara
Belings.)

February, 2007
Cicero's claims against Griffin and Griffin's counter claims against
Cicero are dismissed with prejudice on an equal basis by the judge.
Within hours, Griffin announces on the HOGD's Yahoo forum that his
order is in possession of the entire Third Order transmission
originally intended for the original HOGD, and that its curriculum
includes the sexual practices of Hermetic Inner Alchemy and
Alchemical
Theurgy, that had been obtained by GD founder, S.L. MacGregor Mathers
from the Continental European "source of origin" of the original
Golden Dawn.(Continental Adepts called Secret Chiefs by Mathers)
(submitted by Trisktras).

It appears that Griffin was just waiting for the litigation to be
settled to unleash the above bombshell. With this move, Griffin has
placed the other "Golden Dawn" orders in a situation where it appears
that the HOGD/A+O teaches the entire Three Order system, including
Hermetic Inner Alchemy and Sexual Magick, whereas the other orders
have only the material published by Regardie to offer, which ends at
the 5=6 level. From my perspective, this is the true reason for much
of the invective against Griffin following the settlement of the
HOGD,
Inc.

Principal Board Director, Tony Fuller) publicly disputes these
claims,
in the absence of supporting evidence. Until the present, no such
evidence is forthcoming.
(submitted by Trisktras, but toned down for objectivity by Mara
Belings)

As a result of this "Golden Dawn Lineage" dispute, anonymous posters
once again defame both Griffin and Cicero on the Usenet as well as on
linked

Immediately following the above disclosure, a renewed round of
anonymous posts appear on usenet defaming both Griffin and the
Ciceros, apparently as a backlash over the SRIA/GD 'lineage' dispute
(submitted by Mara Belings toning down statements made by Trisktras
to
make them more objective).

Chief Adept and Supreme Magus of of S.L. MacGregor
Mathers' Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega. High Grade
Freemason (Swedish Rite) and member of the S.R.I.C.F.,
the only legitimate branch of Soc. Ros. in the USA. Gnostic
Bishop, Initiate of the Gold und Rosenkreutz Order, the Fratres
Lucis (Asiatic Brethren), and of several Continental European
secret alchemical societies whose names remain secret.
Author of the Ritual Magick Manual - completed the synthesis
of Enocian and Qabalistic Magick begun by S.L. MacGregor
Mathers. In 1999, following a Rosicrucian cycle of 111 years,
proclaimed the "Reformatio Fraternitatis, 1999" of the A+O,
moved all Second Order (RR et AC) material profaned by
publication by Aleister Crowley and Israel Regardie to the
A+O's outer order, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn,
making traditional RR+AC magick immediately available to
A+O's beginning students. Prepared a new, unpublished
RR+AC curriculum, derived entirely from confidential Hermetic
and Rosicrucian transmissions.
In 2002, reestablished contact with the Continental European
"source of origin" of the original HOGD, obtaining the esoteric
transmission originally intended for the Third Order of the
original HOGD, comprising the grades of Magister Templi
(8=3), Magus (9=2), and Ipsissimus (10=1). Includes the
sexual teachings of Hermetic Inner Alchemy and Alchemical
Theurgy originally taught by S.L. MacGregor Mathers (obtained
by Mathers from the Contintental European "Secret Chiefs of

differently to the external manifestation. Some of them

alternate lineages and materials they would not want the
broader
membership to be aware of," says ANON Jean)
(Clymer, fronting his own RF group, claimed in the book "The
Rosicrucian Fraternity in America" (1935) that one of the
AMORC's
"alternate lineages" was a 1921 charter from the OTO of
Aleister
Crowley, which he described as "a black cult of the Black
Brotherhood";
he further claimed that Crowley was "the Black master and
Secret
Chief" of AMORC's leader H. Spencer Lewis)

AOMR, August Order of the Mystic Rose

The August Order of the Mystic Rose is formally affiliated
with the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the outer order

of events
that involved Carmain's grandfather," says ANON Jean.)
(after this, FARC ceased esoteric contact with Griffin says
ANON Jean)

HOGD Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn

(late 19th century British occult order with its own
schismatic history)

HOGD, Inc.® The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Inc.®
(Led by Chic Cicero, incorporated in Florida, owns US GD trademerk)

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Inc. is an irregular
Golden Dawn order, presided over by Charles "Chic" Cicero,
the former proprietor of the "Shady Lady Lounge" strip club.
Cicero, who only has a 10th grade education, is alleged to
have physically abused his former wife, Eva Marie Cicero,
and to still have links with the New Jersey, Cavalcanti crime
family. HOGD, Inc. was founded in 1982, when Cris Monnastre
invited Chic Cicero and Larry Epperson to form a triad of Chiefs
with her, and to constitute a chapter of the Hermetic Order of
the Golden Dawn in the USA. Cicero filed articles of incorporation
in 1988. There was a schism between Monnastre and Cicero in
1994, allegedly provoked by an argument over pizza. HOGD, Inc.,
under the leadership of Cicero has a long history of highly
aggressive, although equally ineffectual litigation. HOGD, Inc. vs.
Wang Li, Dale Bucholz, Robert Word, and Ralph Fytton, a libel suit
filed by HOGD, Inc. was dismissed with prejudice after a settlement
agreement was reached. HOGD, Inc. vs. HOGD/A+O, a
trademark suit instigated by Cicero was equally ineffectual. A
settlement was recently reached in which HOGD, Inc. agreed
never to interfere in the affairs of HOGD/A+O again. (says ANON
fairplayGD)
(based in Florida)
("members of Chic Cicero's GD organisation had established
successful
temples in the UK in the early years of this decade [200s],"
says ANON Jean)
(In Feb, 2007, HOGD-C won a lawsuit entitling it to sole use
of the
HOGD name and acronym in the USA, says ANON Jean)
("Actually, Griffin was sued by Cicero in a frivolous lawsuit
which
tried to prevent Griffin from using the HOGD name in the USA.

says
ANON sria_truth)

HOGD/A+O, Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn®,
outer order of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega®
(Led by David Griffin, owns EU Golden Dawn trademark)

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn is the First Order
of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega®, founded in Paris,
France by S.L. MacGregor Mathers in 1906. The Alpha et Omega
today holds the distinction of being the only order that offers
physical initiation and teaching in the entire three order system
originally conceived for the original Hermetic Order of the Golden
Dawn, from the 0=0 grade of Neophyte through the 10=1 grade of
Ipsissimus.
Unlike in other "Golden Dawn" orders, students of the Alpha
et Omega begin to practice magick immediately upon entering
its First Order, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, then
work a secret, magical and alchemical curriculum in its Second
Order, the RR+AC, derived entirely from unpublished Hermetic
and Rosicrucian esoteric transmissions. The Alpha et Omega
picks up where other groups leave off, as the only Hermetic or
Rosicrucian order with a secret, Second Order curriculum going
far beyond well known, published material. The Alpha et Omega's
exclusive Third Order curriculum, comprising the grades of
Magister Templi, Magus, and Ipssissimus, includes the sexual
mysteries of Hermetic "Inner" Alchemy, and Alchemical Theurgy;
originally obtained by founder, S.L. MacGregor Mathers from
the Secret Chiefs in Paris and that have at all times comprised
the highest teachings of the Hermetic as well as of the Rosicrucian
traditions
Although the Rosicrucian Order Alpha et Omega has always
been based in Europe, it nonetheless operates a world wide network
of temples of its outer order, the Hermetic Order of the Golden
Dawn, including in the United States and Canada. The HOGD/A+O
exclusively performs physical initiations in real temples. The Alpha
et Omega condemns the dubious, non-traditional "self" and purely
"astral" initiation being advocated and practiced elsewhere.

HOMSI/EOGD Hermetic Order of the Morning Star, LLC d/b/a Esoteric
Order of the Golden Dawn

The Hermetic Order of the Morning Star, doing business
as the "Esoteric" Order of the Golden Dawn, is the primary
advocate and practitioner of dubious, purely "Astral" initiation
and is led by known sexual predator Robert Zink, who introduced
the non-traditional practices of blood sacrifice, the ritual scarring
and flogging of candidates, and certain black magical rites into
his order. Zink's EOGD nonetheless preys on an unsuspecting
public by improperly marketing itself as: "Faithful to the classical
traditional Golden Dawn tradition" and even as "Guardians of
the True Golden Dawn." Robert Zink is known to have sexually
abused and impregnated the underage daughter of one of his
order members. The EOGD sells an expensive correspondence
course that consists primarily of public domain, original HOGD
materials published by Regardie that Robert Zink has improperly
attempted to copyright. The entire content of an original version
of EOGD's correspondence course has been made available to
download free from the internet by one of its original compilers.
Robert Zink's order was formerly known as the Hermetic Order
of the Morning Star, Inc. (HOMSI) (1997-2003), as the Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn, Intl. (HOGDI) (1993-1997), as the
Eternal Golden Dawn (EGD) (1991-1993), and as the Eternal

OSOGD Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn

The Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn is a local study
group based in Richmond, California using original HOGD
and Stella Matutina materials published by Israel Regardie
diluted with the Thelemic teachings of Aleister Crowley. The
group is led by Samuel Webster and its Imperator, Joseph
Max, who operates a Yahoo group largely dedicated to
defaming and disparaging the Hermetic Order of the Golden
Dawn, the outer order of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et
Omega®. The OSOGD Imperator advocates the profanation
of all Hermetic and Rosicrucian mysteries, arguing that esoteric
secrets should be proven by publication on the internet and
made available for free distribution like the 'Open Source'
code of computer programmers. The Rosicrucian Order of
Alpha et Omega recently took issue with OSOGD's advocacy
of profanation. In response, OSOGD's Imperator wrote: "It
matters not if anyone agrees or not. It will happen. Welcome

SRIA, SRIAmerica, SRIAm, Soc Ros in America, Societas Rosicruciana in
America

The Soc. Ros. in America is an irregular Sociatas Rosicruciana
that was founded by George Plummer. Plummer attempted to
gain recognition and regularity for the Soc. Ros. in America
from the Sociatas Rosicruciana in Anglia and corresponded
briefly in this regard with W. Wynn Wescott. Soc. Ros. in
Anglia, however, rebuffed the Soc. Ros. in America as it
already had agreements with the Freemasonic S.R.I.C.F.,
granting the latter exclusive regularity and recognition in the
USA. Soc. Ros. in America eventually managed to get a
Rosicrucian charter from the Quakertown Rosicrucians
descending from Pascal Beverly Randolph. Aleister
Crowley was appointed to the Soc. Ros. in America's
board of directors and the Society began to work an odd
version of Golden Dawn ritual cobbled together from
Crowley's Equnox. The group was presided over by
"Sister Lucia" Grosch in the 1990s. Any lineal affiliation
that the group may have ever enjoyed ended when Grosch
dissolved the high council of the order in the 1980's. Grosch
was sued by Frank Modica in the 1990's in a suit that bankrupted
Grosch over a land deal gone bad. Destitute, Grosch was
obliged to accept financial assistance from Maria Babwahsing
in order to settle the suit, in exchange for handing over the
leadership of the order to Babwahsing. Under the leadership
of Maria Babwahsing, the Soc. Ros. in America has made a
number of false and unsubstantiated lineage on its sria.org
website. These have recently been debunked by noted
Golden Dawn scholar and Cicero HOGD, Inc. Board
member, Tony Fuller (aka Anthony Fleming).
(says ANON fairplayGD)

Jean)
("DID RUN a correspondence course [...] like AMORC, and
probably
relying on that and publishing Plummers' books, they remained
a large
enough operation to function from 1909 until today [2007],
says ANON Jean).
("laboured under an early accusation of AE Waite that the
order had no
claim on Rosicrucian history and no legitimacy. Gilbert, a fan
of
Waite's,
rescued the group from this overly-eager dismissal by Waite,
proving
that the Order did have 'valid' connections and did conduct
itself
in as 'authentic' a manner as could be expected." -- ANON
Jean, 2007)
("salvaged" in 1997 by R. A. Gilbert at a GD conference, says
ANON
Jean)
(the Gilbert paper that "rescued" and "salvaged" the
reputation of the
SRIA was titled 'The Lost Stepchild in America' according to
ANON Jean)
(in a paper "titled 'SRIA Mothers or Thieves?' [David

suggested
... that the SRIA[m] had 'stolen' a [Mackenzie] lineage
intended for
the
GD," says ANON Jean)
(Lucia Grolsch was Imperatrix of the SRIAm circa 1997, says
ANON Jean)
(ANON Jean says, "The Imperatrix-ship of Lucia Grolsch (or
Grosch) led
to a decline to 'a fraction' of those previous numbers. ... I
am sure
the group was never even 10% the size of AMORC, so at best,
probably a
few thousand members in its heyday seems reasonable.")

ANON Jean)
(Cicero pistol-whipped octagenarian Lucia Grosch, in the

it should
be
read in full; see it under the heading for Grolsch / Grosch)
(order recognised by Chic Cicero's HOGD, claims ANON Jean)
(current Imperatrix is Maria Babwasingh)

SRIAnglia, Soc. Ros in. Anglia, Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia
(a British Rosicrucian Society)
(R. A. Gilbert is a member, claims ANON Jean)
(a member of the SRIAn, Desmond Bourke, issued false charters
and gave rites to anyone who asked during the 1960s-70s says
ANON Jean)
("the material [that Word and Griffin] asserted proved [that
SRIA
lineage had been stolen from Mackenzie material meant for the
original HOGD] was suppressed by the SRIA in 1947 and was to
do
with other matters entirely" (!!!) claims ANON Jean, then
clarifies,
"The 'suppressed' material Word and Griffin alleged was about
a
stolen lineage was about an early feud in the SRIA. They
suppressed
it (dumb idea, by the way) because it was uncomfortably close
to a
feud that was going on in the SRIA at the time, about 1947.
The SRIA
is hardly the bed of roses that some commentators must wish to
pretend.")

Whare Atua Temple (New Zealand)

The Whare Atua research temple presently operates in New
Zealand, where Dr. Robert William Felkin established the
Smaragdum Thalasses Temple of the Stella Matutina in 1912,
which later became known by the Maori name of Whare Ra
or "the House of the Sun." The present "Whare Atua" temple,
presided over by Jean de Cabalis, similarly means "House of
the Gods." Jean de Cabalis, former student of the late Frank
Salt of Whare Ra, is the present Chief of the Whare Atua temple.
Frank Salt joined the Order of the Golden Dawn (Stella Matutina)
in 1936 and progressed through all its grades obtaining the level
of Adeptus Exemptus (7=4) as well as holding the offices of
Hierophant, Cancellarius and Demonstrator (Praemonstrator)
of Whare Ra. Whare Atua Temple holds multiple lineal
affiliations and esoteric transmissions from various sources,
and is formally affiliated with the Hermetic Order of the Golden
Dawn, the outer order of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et
Omega®. (says ANON fairplayGD)

Cris
Monnastre and Griffin hire Stewart MacKenzie, the attorney who won
the
Marcello Motta vs.
Meanwhile, other anonymous
usenet posters publish details shaming and damaging to the
reputations
of
Chic and Tabatha Cicero.
Cicero gains partial ownership of

mark in Europe. Griffin-Monnastre gain partial ownership of the mark
in the USA. Griffin and Monnastre, upon reaching this agreement with
Cicero, withdraw their trademark opposition.

1997
Griffin and Monnastre, together with the Ahathoor Temple No. 7 in

Carroll "Poke" Runyon publishes "Secrets of the Golden Dawn Cypher
Manuscript" with foreword by Pat Zalewski and afterword by R. A.

Fraternitatis, Anno 1999, moving all published Golden Dawn material
to
the outer order and replacing this material with a new Second Order
curriculum derived entirely from confidential, pre-Golden Dawn
2003
The Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn is founded by a group of
individuals alleged on Wikipedia to be "Satanists." (submitted by
2006
Griffin's HOGD temples in US see many members decamp to Cicero's
HOGD,
says ANON Jean (submitted by Catherine Yronwode)
This is disputed by Griffin HOGD/A+O member, Soror MDLL (Leigh-Ann
Grace Bachmann) who claims that the international HOGD/A+O is larger
than ever before and that she personally tutors students from three
continents. It does, however, support the allegation made by
Trisktras
above, claiming that Cicero was tortuously interfering in Griffin's
order by offering advanced grades and trademark licenses to those
willing to cross over to Cicero's order and in exchange for fomenting
schism. (Comment from Mira Beline.)

Well - thanks for your time and effort. This must have took you quite
a while!

Just incase you don't read much of the rest of the NG - I'm just a
woman with a lot of books (Physics, Philosophy, History, Psychology,
Sociology, Magick etc etc) and Asperger Syndrome. I first posted here
to raise the absurdity of the whole 'Indigo Children' malarky, and I'm
loitering here because I think I may learn something important. I'd
like to know why this has been going on for 8 to 10 years. That would
be worth knowing - and I'm totally sincere here.

You see - for someone to wrong me, then I have to be that person (put
myself in their place) and understand why he/she is doing what they
are doing. Once I understand where they are coming from, and what my
part in the scuffle has been, then I work out how to make the peace or
I walk away with no hard feelings and very little thought about their
future except the wish that they prosper.

Now - it s said that all of these leaders of magical communities have
been fighting for 8 - 10 years, whilst carrying on with 'The Great
Wrok' (Tom Joke - heh). I've heard comments here that say it is
inevitable for magical orders to argue - but if magical orders are
heiroarchical - then that is illogical (god - I feel like Data - Star
Treck now) - for this is akin to saying that a magical order is a
democracy. But perhaps this hieroarchy does not express a truth about
it's membership?

Does not the lowliest member of a magical order have mind, emotions,
body and passions - spirit if you like? And if their leaders are
hounded, should their followers not bleed? In the spirit of democracy
and freedom - should they not rise up and have their say upon a NG?
Of course! Why not! It is hoped that they might learn something
valuable....

I have stayed around here with the thought that there is something
valuable to learn. I want to know why this has been going on for 8 -
10 years because I don't know and I don't think anyone else here
*really* does either.

STOP for now.

Cris
Monnastre and Griffin hire Stewart MacKenzie, the attorney who won
the
Marcello Motta vs.
Meanwhile, other anonymous
usenet posters publish details shaming and damaging to the
reputations
of
Chic and Tabatha Cicero. All these posts seem to be backlash from
the HOGD trademark conflict. (Submitted by Cathrine Yronwode).
March 1996
The HOGD trademark conflict is settled. Cicero, Griffin, and
Monnastre
sign an agreement to share the "Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn"
trademark on a world-wide basis. Cicero gains partial ownership of
the
mark in Europe. Griffin-Monnastre gain partial ownership of the mark
in the USA. Griffin and Monnastre, upon reaching this agreement with
Cicero, withdraw their trademark opposition.

Ah forget it. It was late when I posted last night - and when I woke

If people knew all the reasons why they were fighting they wouldn't
fight - hence they are all to some degree ignorant - and that's thats.
