Heh. And yes, the animals are judging.
The "Over the Hedge" strips that you have been posting links to
have been interesting so I decided, finally, to start at the
beginning. The first comic is definitely related to the above one.

Oh yes, the animals sitting in bleacher seats watching the humans
through the bedroom windows is a very common scene in OTH. The authors
have used it many, many times. And the animals judge the human
activity, oh do they judge.
Be sure to stream the 2006 Dreamworks made movie too, it is hilarious.

I was thinking that the movie was a financial failure but somebody noted
that the cost was $80 million and that the income was $336 million.
Your numbers are irrelevant to Hollywood accounting. All movies lose
money.
Even Avengers: Endgame.
Granted, but that’s about paying out royalties. When it’s about whether
or not to make a sequel, the numbers are more honest, because it’s in
the studio’s interest to have accurate data.
I seem to recall reading, yonks ago, that the OTH creators have a
contractual right to involvement in any future films, and that they
simply found themselves too busy for another.
