If anyone has the 1997 remaster of the Muti EMI Aida - could you tell me who did the remastering - it should be in the booklet. thanks in advance Meyer

discogs shows Allan Ramsay, but I wonder if that's a carry-over from the
1986 release listing.

'Discog' lists Allan Ramsay, but they list Allan Ramsay also for the
1986 edition, which is wrong because the 1986 edition doesn't list
anyone and Ramsay was not even working at EMI then

I have the "EMI 1897-1997 100 Years of Great Music" series, which includes the Muti Aida. The title page of the booklet reads "Digitally remastered at Abbey Road Studios by Allan Ramsay."

I think maybe someone could make a fortune selling sound remastering engineer trading cards to some in this group.

Allan Ramsey was no Simon Gibson. That much I can tell you.

They both screwed up big time on some of the early Callas remasterings esp. the dreadful Callas Edition

Still, I won’t trade you my Simon Gibson for your Ian Jones.
