I have to come to America's defence here, Nick. Weirdness is not
limited to America.

Hwever, like with nearly everything else, they seem to feel the need
to excell. ;-)

The discussion is not deplorable, only the people who thought up the idea
and produced the web site.

Yes.. that's what I meant. It's detestable to view dead people in
coffins. These folks must be vying for a promotion in the devils ranks.
But why only in America, as the subject reads?

As Walt says;

Weirdness is not limited to America.

However, like with nearly everything else, they seem to feel the need to
excel.

from other parts of the World :o/

Try surfing Japanese websites, they show things that no USAnian white trash
redneck could ever have though up, some of it they even show on prime time
TV over there :o/

I was in walmart today (with my hat cam) and the emergency alarm went
off. It was so loud people were cupping their ears. I thought it may
have been one of "Those" situations. But it was only someone prying a
door open.

It's OK. I actually got a video of the dog fight that sent me to the
hospital again. I had the camera on to see just how long it would
record before the battery went dead. I forgot it was on when I heard the
fight and got it, and my blood, on ok resolution video.

The damn date at the bottom never changes and even after formatting it
remains a day in 2007.

But for sudden events or wandering around Walmart it's a start and
forget camera.

There was an RC flyer at Rancho SA who recorded his flights with a
hat cam. It was 'stuck' to the visor of his ball cap. Photo taken mid-
Nov 2011.

Is yours similar [to that one]?

The same. I originally had it velcro'd to the bottom of the bill to
make it less visible but to have access to the controls buttons the
video was upside down. You remember some time back I asked for advice
on a video program that would flip the video ... I never found one that
worked. (Freeware, it's not important enough to pay for one.)

It's always nice to have a video while you're being arrested.... in
case they start beating you.

Uh..... I think that didn't work for one poor traffic offender. Don't
remember where I read it though...

Well, this calls for a Coffin/funeral joke:

A new business was opening, and one of the owner’s friends sent flowers for the occasion. But when the owner read the card with the flowers, it said. “Rest in Peace”
The owner was little upset and called the florist to complain. After he had told the florist about the obvious mistake, the florist said, “Sir, I’m really sorry for the mistake, but rater than getting angry, you should imagine this: Somewhere there is a funeral taking place today, and they have flowers with a note saying, “Congratulations on you new location.”
