The lava inside the main crater is *dropping*. This is noted
to be a precursor to catastrophic eruptions 'if' water from
the sea, or elsewhere, rushes into the main magma chamber.

cause a below sea level avalanche resulting in a super tsunami
to race across the Pacific, quickly inundating low lying areas,
including a number of populated areas like LA and SF.
