anybody managed to get any systemwide equalizer working with pulseaudio?
I' starting to chew my desk, whatever solution google claims to have,
I either get a "dbus module" not loaded" although it is (both as root and as user)
and/or pacmd even claims there's no pulseaudio daemon running at all...
I'm somewhat lost here now...

BTW: the module-equalizer-sink loads fine, whereas the module-ladspa-sink fails to initialize....

Maybe alsaequal? It is available through slackbuilds.org. I have
found that Alsa works well with Pulse. For example, I use Pulse
and alsamixer.

I read on the Slackbuilds page for alsaequal that you run it (after
installing) like this:

alsamixer -D equal

If you install it and try it, let me know how it goes.

hmm the slackbuild create 2 *.so files:
usr/lib64/alsa-lib/libasound_module_ctl_equal.so and
usr/lib64/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_equal.so

for which I have no idea how they are supposed to be loaded.
It also provides a sample asoundrc which seems to be ignored by
Poetterings daemon-mess

alsamixer -D equal yields
cannot open mixer: No such file or directory

so still not anything :-(
