No, first off, I was working that night at Parnello's Pizza.
Secondly, the man who was driving himself and Gene around, P.D.
Wilson, had just recently sent about a dozen emails with fantasies and
outright threats to my life, which Gene Woolfolk knew about but chose
to hang with anyhow.
Here's some excerpts, as PDW says, for the record, and plus for him
since he doesn't seem to remember them. I also state that we've since
buried the hatchet and he's apologized for the trauma that was caused
during those months , and he's given me permission to post this -

this is not a poem
and i apologize for the melodrama
unfortunately, it is my life
as it has been for way too long now
[...]
Will Dockery tells me
some of what he told you
i don't like it
he lied to you about me
and i am going to have to
okay, i'm not sure yet what i'm going to have to do
but i'm going to have to do something, i know
[...]
I should have killed him
20 years ago - I would be out of prison by now
and he deserved to die, as he still does,
several times over
for the lives he has destroyed
my life now is forfeit
because i failed to to what was needed
to protect those i loved
and will gloats
endlessly
laughing at me as i
stumble towards my grave
agian and again
[...]
She herself was going to kill him herself
and again I saved his life
fool that I am
In short, you should know that Will Dockery is not my friend
and I suspect he never has been
I know beyond all doubt at this point
[...]
now i just want the misery to end
and despite smoking, drinking and taking drugs for 33 years now
i'm healthy as a horse
[...]
I have to ask: Did Will put you up to this?
Is it that you've been working together the whole time?
Is he supplying some addiction you have?
Or blackmailing you in some way?
[...]
but he will suffer less if you are honest with me
on this point
[...]
i suspect i have some
resources he is not aware of - we shall see
("Peace. Or Else." is not a joke, either)
----
Anyway, that's why I wasn't palling around with P.D. Wilson and Gene
Woolfolk that night, since you asked.
