The Chinese have cheated on EVERYTHING. Every last
treaty, every last trade agreement... they never
respected patents, copyrights, contracts...

Look. Even pretending that any of the "Climate treaties"
were capable of reducing emissions to a point below
1880s levels, the Chinese are never-ever going to
honor them. And not just the Chinese. Seriously, it
won't be just them cheating. So forget about it.

Undoubtedly the Chinese care on some level about the environment. But they
care more about catching up to the West in terms of industry and economy.

The US Embassy in Beijing has an air monitor on its roof. They publish the
quality of the city's air on Twitter. It's not something the Chinese
government appreciates because it's rarely good. Have a click and you'll

When in question, when in doubt, follow the MONEY
and you'll find out ....
-Me

Yep, so long as you can sell more shit, so long as
you can buy shit cheaper ... there'll be high rhetoric
but nothing's gonna change fundamentally.

Reaching "tomorrow" means getting through *today* ...
and you need money and stuff to do that. That idea of
the ocean rising six inches in the next 100 years -
that's FOREVER from now, not really on anyones
radar.
