Any chance of a remote? Not a lot of experience with VMS Pascal
specifically, but did a lot of Pascal programming on PDP-11's,
other micros including under OS-9, UCSD-Pascal and Pr1mes back
in the day when Pascal was still in vogue.

Sadly no remote working as far as I know. Which will seriously limit the pool of engineers.

Well, if you ever get any other gigs that can be done remote keep me in
mind. I do a lot more than Pascal. :-) Resume available on demand.

Yes, and getting real bored. My wife was able to find a part time
position as a teacher. The only IT jobs you see advertised around
here are for people who install printers on PC's. And they still
wonder why our kids go away to college and never come back.

But, seriously, I am in the market. Just not in a position to relocate.

Is the job located South of Scotland or North of Yorkshire ? :-)

Not interested in the job myself, but just thought it may help to be
a little more specific in case anyone is interested.

Simon.

Good point. Many(all?) recruiters seem to think that Leeds is in the
"North East" but to anyone *in Leeds or the surrounding areas*, "North
East England" means County Durham, Teesside, Tyne and Wear, (basically
anywhere north of the River Tees).

:-) I'm amused that _anyone_ could consider Leeds to be in the North East.

For anyone into such things, there's lots of very nice walking areas
in the North and East Riding parts of that map...

Ah, so it's the "real" North East then. :-) Well, there are far
worse places to work than Stockton...

Aye, and the North East isn't a desolate wasteland contrary to what some politicians seem to think.

Although I do concede that some areas might benefit from flattening and starting again.
