THE BUTTER BULLET

Despite the annoying pitchman and the fact that it's a total rip off
(get a second one free, just pay a separate fee!) and it will speed up
my imminent demise enormously, I still unaccountably want one.

Odd...the directions say you can put it in the refrig between uses if
you like colder butter...but it heats the stuff up before spraying it,
so I don't see how the refrig will allow you to have the colder butter
you like. They should just admit that it will be a rancid butter bullet
if it sits on the counter.

Runs of rechargeable batteries...but does it include a plug/transformer
so the batteries recharge inside the device or do you need to have your
own battery charger?

Also they're doing something that I was sure these rip off artists had
lost court cases on. You *can't* buy just one. The *only* offer
available on the website is "get a free second unit for only $8.99
additional fee" - plus the $8.99 shipping and handling. So the *only*
price you can pay for this $29.99 item is $47.97.

And something I noticed while looking to see if there were any answer's
to Obveeus' questions about how it works ...

at the bottom of the page, in incredibly tiny type, it says they're
going to add on a $1 Web-ordering fee!

It's like that cell phone commercial with the obnoxious baby sitter
adding on all the hidden fees ...

Salted butter is fine kept out of the fridge. Not so sure the same is
true for unsalted butter.

I believe salt was originally added to butter to hide rancid flavors.
That's why unsalted butter has to be fresher.

As a practical matter, I don't care for letting an entire quarter pound stick
of butter sit at room temperature if I'm using it to butter toast or a muffin.
I find it too soft.

Note that "sweet cream" does not mean "unsalted". It's meant to contrast
with soured (not rancid) butter that the French typically prefer in baking.
Soured butter can also be salted or unsalted.

Rancid butter is not spoiled butter, but the flavor is unacceptable.

Depending on how you are cooking or baking, you may want the butter
at refrigerated or room temperature to start with.

Perishable? Everything is perishable where you live, but outside the
desert, no, butter isn't perishable. That's a lie.

gone.

Nope.. Finally used up a stick that has been in the fridge for about a
month because I used the butter for making some grilled cheese
sandwiches. Butter just doesn't get used that much around here unless
it's for a particular dish.

Despite the annoying pitchman and the fact that it's a total rip

my imminent demise enormously, I still unaccountably want one.

Odd...the directions say you can put it in the refrig between uses if
you like colder butter...but it heats the stuff up before spraying
it,
so I don't see how the refrig will allow you to have the colder
butter
you like. They should just admit that it will be a rancid butter
bullet
if it sits on the counter.
Butter doesn't require refridgeration.
Challenge says KEEP REFRIGERATED - PERISHABLE.
My parents never refrigerated butter and neither do I. Well, it's in the
freezer until I need a new stick, but it sits out after that until it's
gone.
Which is almost never overnight!
Heh. It takes us a few days. Unless there is salmon or lobster about.
Which is one reason that I don't leave the butter out. Unless I'm in a
mood to do a lot of cooking that requires butter a single stick may
last me for weeks.
did you mean to say 'hours' or 'two meals' whichever comes first?
Nope.. Finally used up a stick that has been in the fridge for about a
month because I used the butter for making some grilled cheese
sandwiches. Butter just doesn't get used that much around here unless
it's for a particular dish.
I use butter for cooking at least once a day.
Yay SuzeeQ!
And it's usually got garlic in it.

you like colder butter...but it heats the stuff up before spraying it,
so I don't see how the refrig will allow you to have the colder butter
you like. They should just admit that it will be a rancid butter bullet
if it sits on the counter.
Butter doesn't require refridgeration.
Challenge says KEEP REFRIGERATED - PERISHABLE.
Who or what is "Challenge"?
This is something I learned after that hurricane knocked out our electricity
for a week about a year ago.
Challenge is the big name in butter!
Except for Darigold or Western Family (whichever is cheaper when buying it).
Never saw either of those here.
Big in the Pacific Northwest.
Be a Challenge to find them in the Land o' Lakes.

Despite the annoying pitchman and the fact that it's a total rip off
(get a second one free, just pay a separate fee!) and it will speed up
my imminent demise enormously, I still unaccountably want one.

We got both of them too.

I am oddly dissapointed this is not a disposable murder weapon.

A stick never lasts long enough to perish at our house. We keep the
other sticks in the refrigerator.

Usually people will use up a block of butter before it has time to go bad but if you repeatedly melt it it take less time.

It heats the butter up *when you push the button*. If you don't push the
button, it will presumably not attempt to heat the butter.

Runs of rechargeable batteries...but does it include a plug/transformer
so the batteries recharge inside the device or do you need to have your
own battery charger?

You can't atomize solid fat! I guess it can be melted as it's being
drawn in.

I don't know the chemistry; I'm just stating what I saw in the video.
Besides, it stands to reason that heating/atomizing requires energy
which involves the battery which is activated by pressing the button. If
you don't supply energy, there's nothing to heat/atomize the butter and,
based on just about every device I've ever seen, energy isn't drawn
until you turn the device on, usually with a button.

I'd like to know how the gook in the mechanism gets cleaned just be
rinsing it. I could have sworn that oil/fat and water don't mix.

I'm sorry, anim, but this doesn't tempt me.

But but but ... they only sell them in 2 packs!

Seriously, I'd want to know that the entire thing is dishwasher safe,
but it's only gonna get washed between sticks ...

Dems & the media want Trump to be more like Obama, but then he'd

Depends on the company.
