So much fer "renubbles er takin over the world!"

Growth in renubbles is not even keeping up with the decline in nuclear.

"...despite the huge policy push encouraging a switch away from coal and
the rapid expansion of renewable energy in recent years, there has been
no improvement in the mix of fuels feeding the global power sector over
the past 20 years. Astonishingly, the share of coal in 2017 was exactly
the same as in 1998. The share of non-fossil fuels was actually lower,
as growth in renewables has failed to compensate for the decline in
nuclear energy.

It's not astonishing at all. Our "Leaders" gave away
our economies in the west. For real. Coal is flat.
For every plant we close in the west, a new one opens
in Asia.

We haven't reduced coal, we moved it.

But coal will explode in use and impotence...

Coal to liquids was commercially viable way back
before WWII, in Germany. It's commercially
viable in South Africa today. It will be a gold
mine in places like Australia and the U.S.

Canada, too.
