I have been interested in Keith Eden's media career since I watched
the DVD of the 1959 movie "On The Beach", in which he played Dr.
Fletcher.

I know very little about Keith Eden other than that he was born in
Melbourne of 18 April 1917, married "Phonsie" St Ledger in 1939, and
has appeared in several popular TV dramas including "The Simpsons",
"The Flying Doctors", and Prisoner Cell Block H". Basic information
from his war record is included on the Nominal Roll. I have tried to
find a biography/autobiography of Eden but have not come across
anything. Is there a book about his life and career?

Perhaps members of the group can give me some biographical
information? A couple of obvious questions:

Is Keith Eden still alive?
Was there any issue of his marriage to "Phonsie" St Ledger?

Regards,

Terri

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that his missus was a Research Officer for
Crawford Productions from 1950.

Terri
That would explain why he appeared in so many Crawford Production shows like
Homicide, Division 4, Matlock Police, Solo One etc. It looks like his last
appearance was in Blue Heelers. Have you tried contacting Southern Star who
produced Blue Heelers?

Just saw DoD in original post - the old bugger would be 90 if he was still
alive.

Ninety isn't that old these days and I can't find an obituary.

Good idea :) I'll probably do that. It would be great if group members
had some biographical info, though.
