Okay, the polls are open! Our re-evaluation of the 2005 election includes 33 nominated games. Go to http://meepleschoice.win/ http://meepleschoice.win/ and pick your three favorite titles. I'll shut things down next Monday and announce the new results. Thanks again to everyone for participating!

Wow, good year!

I just realized that you've asked for our 3 "favorites". I thought we were kind of redoing the votes, so I've been voting for 3 best. For example, Caylus was pretty great back then as the latest greatest worker placement, but these days I'm not such a fan of worker placement.

So how are other folks voting? What was your intent, Larry?

This is a tough choice for me. None of them stand out as one of my
all-time favorites but there are a lot of ones that I like. I am voting
for Twilight Struggle, Antike, and Caylus, but I also considered Nexus Ops,
Kreta, and Shadows Over Camelot, and there are a couple that interest me
that I've never had the chance to play (Descent, Indonesia).

best games!

I do the same as Dave, Ravindra, but honestly, there are no guidelines, just as there aren't any in the MCA elections. Just pick three games (or less), based on whatever criteria you think is appropriate. Rest assured that with 50+ voters, we probably have 50+ different sets of criteria!

Favorites... so, no vote for Twilight Struggle. It's a work of genius and a great game, but I'd rather play at least 3 other games on the list.

I'm going with favourites which also means the ones I still play the most.
I will part with games I like if I don't play them anymore. I will always
respect Twilight Struggle, but I don't expect to ever play it again in my
lifetime. I don't see the need to give it my vote. I'd rather pump up the
ones I still play. I mean, even if they're not the "best" why am I still
playing them this many years later? There must be something special about
them.

I like to look at what our my favorites today based on the older games. I still play Caylus today and is a top tier game for me so it was an easy game for me to vote on. Twilight Struggle was tough because back in the day I played it a ton but today I am lucky to play once a year. So it did not make my top 3 in this vote.
