Aha! So my cunning planned worked! I was trying to distract you all
from the rumours that I may be the Bristol Grammar Vigilante

and thought a profligate overuse of apostrophes would do the trick.

Now, about my ties to Russia: I was going to order a short missile

grammar was not averse (like most people these days, BUT NOT ME) to
using "there's" before a plural.

when someone uses "like" incorrectly.)

You're correct, Jenny - the catastrophe takes the place of the 'a' in
'are'.

Very funny piece on Toady the other morning about how the Royal
Marines accidentally invaded Spain and had to confess to the head of
the RN. He said that the Army & RAF chiefs had sent him a postcard,
ribbing him about it, with suitable annotations to show which beach
was "ours" and which "theirs".

Heheheh. My preferred solution would be to give the Falkland Islands
(back[1])to Spain on condition that they withdraw their claim on
Gibraltar. But don't tell Argentina I said that, okay?

[1]IIUIC it's because Spain thought they owned Las Malvinas in the
first place which gives Argentina the basis of their claim but
whichever way you look at it, it's a long story.

I didn't know about the Archers alcohol company/name, but regardless,
and disregarding all else, I disagreed with Kenton anyway: I think
"Fairbrother['s] Gin" sounds more interesting than "Archer['s] Gin". Not
sure why.

Ooh, good stir! (Do we know how that paying-back is going? Almost
certainly not, given the team's attitude to accuracy on financial
matters. Did we ever even hear of any formal schedule-type aspect to it
- so much a month or whatever - or was it just "when you can" [something
I'd never enter into even with a closest friend/relative; when the other
way round, i. e. my Dad/parents lent _me_ money, _I_ formalised at least
the interest aspect.]?)

email client software. I don't usually add people's email addresses to
my quotes file these days, but I have been assuming that that one was so
long dead that bots can harvest it if they want without any
inconvenience to you (-:, so haven't removed it from the file.

(The "via" suggests you were quoting someone else, but I didn't know
who.)

since late 2012 and I'm still waiting for the spam to arrive. That

suspect it is the latter.

Likewise - and it may be Kenton will let it slip in someone's hearing and
it'll get back to David (of course we also have Toby telling Pip who will
definitely soon start squeaking). So,Tobes doesn't want to work any longer
than a strict number of hours when it suits? What with Rex being equally
sloppy (I thought he was the thorough one, and Josh the slap dash of
youth!), are the Foul ones about to leave Ambridge?
