Post by Amazing AnswersThey've been doing this since Piltdown Man
And there it is again folks some idiot theist bringing up piltdown.
What they don't seem to realize is that theists have been lying and
making up stories for tens of thousands of years or more. Not the
mention the christians that have been murdering and torturing and
raping people for at least 1700 years
It's been explained to McDumbass countless times that Piltdown was a
hoax perpetrated *on* scientists, not *by* scientists, and it was
scientists, not Bible-thumpers, who exposed it - but he's either too
stupid to understand that or too dishonest to admit it. Or both.
IT is believed by some that Piltdown was a British Museum in-house
attempt to make evolution look like a fact. In fact, it was
prestigious anatomist Sir Arthur Keith who really was the force behind
promoting it, to point that he modified it in an attempt to make it to
fit the then current evolution scheme. The fact that it didn't fit
into the right size scheme was a major objection at the time, not that
it was questioned at all. Keith put a lot of effort into defending it.
Questions about the Piltdown find were raised from the beginning,
first by Arthur Keith, but also by paleontologists and anatomists from
the Smithsonian Institution and from Europe. Those disputing the find
were attacked in very personal terms. Challenges to Piltdown Man arose
again in the 1920s, but were again dismissed. In 1949, further
questions were raised about the Piltdown Man and its authenticity,
which led to the conclusive demonstration that Piltdown was a hoax, in
1953. Since then, a number of Dawson's other finds have also been
shown to be forged or planted.[2][3]
In 2003, Miles Russell of Bournemouth University published the results
of his investigation into Dawson's antiquarian collection and
concluded that at least 38 specimens were clear fakes. Russell has
noted that Dawsons whole academic career appears to have been "one
built upon deceit, sleight of hand, fraud and deception, the ultimate
gain being international recognition".[4]
So you see idiot assface Your wonderful excuse of a piltdown man was
started and carried out by one man that was clearly a crackpot. Who
just sought money and fame. It has Nothing at all to do with evolution
atheism or anything of the like. You are just clearly an moron that
will say anything or lie about whatever to push your agenda for fairy
belief.
Post by Mitchell Holman"Piltdown man never was accepted with open
arms by the scientific community as a whole.
On the contrary, experts in the UK, USA and
continental Europe all expressed considerable
doubt about the homogeneity of the material."
