Yes, as soon as Helen said they would always be safe now I thought it
was a dangerous thing to say. SWs would pounce. Or was that just so we
would worry about it? Double bluff?

I'm sad to say, as a lifelong listener, that if Rob came back I'd probably
stop listening. It was a close thing before and I hated the story line.

I did stop. I hated the story line and felt they handled it badly, for
the part I heard. They bigged up how helpful they were being to
abused women but they were the reverse, as relevant charities agreed.

I stopped because I felt it overpowered *every* other storyline, to
the extent of many being dropped where there were just as relevant
issues being covered. I agree about it not being as helpful to real
victims as they were making out.

Now I just don't listen because I got to the point where it wasn't
sufficiently engaging to make me bother.

The Freddie Lily thing has won me back but not sure for how long. They are
on probation. Have missed lots since rob and Helen and the kicking

I don't like the way this is being flagged up but isn't his return
pretty much inevitable? I understood that the plot line was praised for
its verisimilitude (a word I don't often get the chance to use!). If so,
it seems very likely that a father would want to maintain contact with
his son. Could Helen get a restraining order?

With h an obsessive character like Rob it’s hard to think he will move on
but it could be dealt with swiftly even if not entirely accurately. I am in
to get rid of it. I

Henry remembers Rob thumping Helen thus Karati is a no-no.
I couldn't help remembering an episode of one of the American Krimis -
Laura Norder SVU I think - in which the person who'd offered to give
Judo (or something similar) lessons to the children and mothers of the
district was actually the p'phile, and this came to light because one of
the children exhibited signs of distress, though didn't actually say
anything (one of the detectives noticed afterwards). I don't _think_
that's the problem here as it sounded as if it was the Karate itself,
rather than the instructor, that was making Henry unhappy, so you're
probably right.

(Who _is_ the instructor? We've probably been told, but you know what
I'm like at missing things.)

I assume he is the Lee who's included in this week's cast list. I can't
remember, for certain, if that's what Emma referred to him as though.

Have just listened, as I was out last night - it was definitely Lee and
he had quite a lot to say. Henry's reaction couldn't possibly have been
to anything but the violence of the karate itself, since this was his
first time ever there. But he'll need to get his skates on and practise,
practise, practise, if he's going to floor Rob by Christmas.

A very reasonable claim. If 'madness' is deviance from the norm and

Just looked up the source for this, apparently Robert Owen:

Emmm, would junior classes cover ‘disarming your opponent who has a 12inch
kitchen knife’?
No but they might supply the necessary.....
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-43642305
Note....
"...the defendant, from Reading, took the three-inch knife from school
following a course on which "safe use of knives" was taught."
Read the case out to B. He told of one some years ago. 3 girls were
bullying another girl. The victim was babysitting and took the baby
out to the park. The 3 girls took the baby and decided to throw it
under a bus. They did this. The bus went over the baby but it was
unharmed. What do you think happened to the girls? They got suspended
sentences all round. It was attempted murder. Should have been life
sentences. No prison time at all.

Henry remembers Rob thumping Helen thus Karati is a no-no.
I couldn't help remembering an episode of one of the American Krimis -
Laura Norder SVU I think - in which the person who'd offered to give
Judo (or something similar) lessons to the children and mothers of
the district was actually the p'phile, and this came to light because
one of the children exhibited signs of distress, though didn't
actually say anything (one of the detectives noticed afterwards). I
don't _think_ that's the problem here as it sounded as if it was the
Karate itself, rather than the instructor, that was making Henry
unhappy, so you're probably right.
(Who _is_ the instructor? We've probably been told, but you know what
I'm like at missing things.)
I assume he is the Lee who's included in this week's cast list.  I
can't remember, for certain, if that's what Emma referred to him as
though.
Henry could always stab him instead. That would take less practice.

I assume he is the Lee who's included in this week's cast list.  I
can't remember, for certain, if that's what Emma referred to him as
though.
Have just listened, as I was out last night - it was definitely Lee
and he had quite a lot to say. Henry's reaction couldn't possibly
have been to anything but the violence of the karate itself, since
this was his first time ever there. But he'll need to get his skates
on and practise,
practise, practise, if he's going to floor Rob by Christmas.
Henry could always stab him instead. That would take less practice.
BTN!
Not quite.
Dammit!
I tried Sodam . . .
Yes. Very trying

Henry remembers Rob thumping Helen thus Karati is a no-no.
I couldn't help remembering an episode of one of the American Krimis -
Laura Norder SVU I think - in which the person who'd offered to
give Judo (or something similar) lessons to the children and
mothers of the district was actually the p'phile, and this came to
light because one of the children exhibited signs of distress,
though didn't actually say anything (one of the detectives noticed
afterwards). I don't _think_ that's the problem here as it sounded
as if it was the Karate itself, rather than the instructor, that
was making Henry unhappy, so you're probably right.
(Who _is_ the instructor? We've probably been told, but you know
what I'm like at missing things.)
