Post by santa: Wow, good counter. We score "smarter" on paper than you, so we must be
: lying. I bet you used all your smarts to come up with that!
You admit someone is lying? IN any event I didn't make up the
phrase but I'm not going to tell you who did because I'm too lazy to look it
up you google
Not suprised, here to say the least. Your toothless insults have little
affect on those of us who are enlightened and live out here where the sun
does shine, and I'm not suprised that you are unable to back them up.
And you're lazy? Couldn't have guessed that, what, with you living in
Ontario and all.
Post by santa: Really, eh? The US urgan average amounts to the slums of LA?
Interesting
Post by santa: perception...
some education you get if you knew bugger all you'd
know that low income neigbourhoods pull the US average a way dopwn so you
might not have much to beat.
Education, eh? Let's maybe start with "a way" and "dopwn". When we correct
those issues, we'll try and get you into a good adult education program
where we can begin to teach you a valid combination of math and american
history, perhaps even touch on some of the issues of today.
Your arguments tend to be based on what you think you know and what, in your
opinion, is "common knowledge", yet you have nothing to substantiate your
comments with. As I said before, your _perception_ is interesting, yet I'd
be the first to iterate that it is completely false.
Post by santaso you got lawn on a postage stamp size lot. For what
its worth I've got more or less 3 acres of it and my neigbours are 250 feet
away on either side. so BFD.
Wow, well put! You insult me with your banter and when I prove you wrong you
brag about your lot size? What a moron. I'm not sure how you thought you
won that one, but I'm sure in your infinate wisdom somehow you can explain
that...
We LIKE our yard (which is slightly larger than a postage stamp at 80x45
feet, by the way, so BFD). It's cozy and a good size for our family, who
are involved locally in the community, on block events, the YMCA and several
playgroups. Not to mention that we actually WORK in Alberta (if that
confuses you, please let me know and I'll send you a brochure at your level
of reading).
Post by santaPOrn is legal? Must be new rules in alberta. Currently you can't
even drw pictures of minors in suggestive poses.
You sick F**K. Why would you want to?
Post by santaAsk the people in Ottawa about photgraphing their 3 year old in a bathtub.
Are they doing it in suggestive poses? You really DO have problems out
there in Ontario, don't you?
Post by santaSO you admit the capitalist government includes using taxpayers money to
exploit markets via the internet that would otherwise be unprofitable In
other words a subsidy or socialism for the rich
No, I don't. I stated that the recovery of capital costs in implementing
infrastructure would not be able to be overcome where demand is low. If you
live out in the boonies, you can thank whatever government it was that gave
you phone service (probably PC, by the way) because it wouldn't have gotten
there without the money of people who live in the city and appropriate
dipersion of funds to those in need.
The primary focus was that of eliminating 'digital devide'. If profitable
businesses come out of that wake, that means more people in the workforce,
more money to be spent on goods and services, and less people on social
assistance. In many rural areas there are several competing internet
companies that are small shops and do fine competing with the likes of Telus
and Shaw, although it may take them years to pay off gov't loans and become
profitable.
Post by santaIN otherwords you live in fantasy land so whatever the govt says
must be true just like whatever is in the bible is true.
No I don't, but I do read the Bible and believe that there are a lot of good
things that can be taken from it.
I vote, attend public debates and information systems, voice my concerns to
others and frequently send letters to MPs, ministers, the premier and local
politicians. I believe that a lot of good things can be gained from that
too.
Post by santaWhats the difference if a company goes tits up a month after a govt grant
or six
Post by santamonths the poor bastards are still out on the styreet and collecting FEDERAL
UI.
You're right, none whatsoever. Especially not that five months of income
that came out of federal reserves. I'm sure glad you're the educated one!
Just because it's federal, it doesn't mean it's yours because you simply
chose to move out to Ontario when the going got tough in Manitoba.
Albertans pay more into federal coffers than any other province, and if we
can keep people off the federal assistance programs for 5 months longer than
Ontario then good on us. More money for you anyways, right?
Post by santa: > :No provincial sales tax.
: > WHat a deal it just covers shipping charges
: Actually, no, it just covers the 7%-15% price hike that everyone else in
the country who pays the tax gets.
YOu mean you don't pay shipping in AB? Gee wilikers batman.
You're not making sense on this issue at all. Are you saying that we get a
deal because it covers shipping charges? Are you saying that Ontario
doesn't pay shipping charges? Are you saying that Alberta doesn't make any
of it's own goods? Although a little confused by your bipolarity, I will
state this:
- Alberta doesn't pay the 7%-15% taxes at the till that most Canadians pay.
Ontario does.
- Every province that brings in goods from other provinces, the USA or other
countries pays shipping. It does not all travel through Ontario, making it
somehow magically cheaper for those of you in that area.
Post by santaSpare me the winters are just as shitty in AB and the bugs
aren't much if any better than MB.
Hmm...not sure how winters got into the mix (but, I'm really not suprised at
this point) but the fact of the matter is that Calgary, where I live, is
about 7 degrees closer to 0 all winter long, and we only get about 1/3 the
snow cover.
I'm from Manitoba originally, and you can't tell me that there are fewer
bugs there. There are 10,000 lakes in MB (admittedly, 9,890 more than AB),
and billions of litres more free standing water. That means more mosquitos.
Post by santa: > : the most beautiful national parks and
: > : the cleanest air in North America.
: > Funny national parks I didn't know Ralf was the Feds. If it were up to
: Ralph
: > he'd have sold everything to JApan like he did with the trees.
: I don't believe the author stated that he supported Ralph, the PCs or any
: other provincial political representative when mentioning the NATIONAL
: parks. He just stated they are actually within our borders.
Your ducking the issue the parks are federal and were
created long before Ralpjh was made emporer. A good thing too Ralph would
have sold em by now.
Hey, any links for his campaign to sell them? I'd love to see that!
I'm not sure how I'm ducking the issue...all anyone has said is that the
parks are here, and that helps to make this a beautiful place. I'm not sure
how you can argue that, regardless of who instated the parks or who's in
power now.
Post by santaYou're ducking again. I don't know about TO I don't live there
despite what the natives of TOronto say there is a little life in other
parts of the province. Besides smog is the smell of money. If weren't for
smog you guys would be have to live off scamming tourists at the stampede
and klondike days.
And Ontario would get by how, if not for polluting industry? If your sh!t
don't smell, perhaps you should run for government. You have a real way
with people. Shut down industry and see how long it is before Ontario
starts begging Alberta for transfer payments.
