Saudi Arabia is not a democracy, but there's no US trust deficit with the Saudis. In fact, the US wages many wars concurrently in the Middle East to do the Saudis very expensive favours. The US is simply anti-Chuna. Every excuse is dredged up to justify why the US should be anti-China.

Oh, is Vietnam democratic? So why no trust deficit? Was the US-led coup in the Ukraine that overthrew the democratically elected government democratic? Do the Arabs in Israel have democracy?

Democracy is a tired excuse that the US conveniently uses to justify anything it wants to do.
