hi folks,

Is there or was there any glossary on TiddlyWiki terms that is being
updated from time to time as I have once difficult moments to remember what
the terms are for? The evolvement of TW from classic to TW5 have
contributed to a lot of new terms. There are links explaining the
comparison of classic to TW5. I think it would be better to be put in a
glossary form. A sort of TWpedia I suppose. I know I can search when I am
trying to understand a certain term. Some terms are beyond my
understanding.

Maybe there is one already that can be updated to recent new terms. Any new
term coined will be put to the glossary and not to contradict the previous.

Tonight is fullmoon anyway. Enjoy:)

Hi,

IMO http://tiddlywiki.com/#Reference is the place to have a look at.

A note, drag and drop, remixing TW.

Lists in TagPills can now be reordered by drag and drop. For me the current
alphabetical ordering of the Concepts and Definitions is not the most
useful when I am trying to learn in a linear way.

For me, its an interesting exercise in learning to reorder the terms under
such TagPills. I find this type of "tiddling" relaxing and theraputic,
something of a puzzle.

Glossary is not a place for learning in linear way or in alphabetical
order. Only to find out which terms are being defined in 'one' place.
For example I can't easily find the explanation for the term
'transclusion' in the http://tiddlywiki.com/#Reference though it's a
good place to start with.

I think the TW non-linearity helps a lot when a glossary or a TWpedia
is built around.

Many tiddlers are actually tagged Concepts and Reference. ... which by the
way causes a big problem, with a "tree-auto-select" macro I'm working on
atm.

Especially, since Concepts is also tagged Reference and elements under
Concepts are tagged Reference too. .... you see the recursion?

For me this is a bug, that has crept in, since TWs doc grew organically. So
I was thinking already, if should try to fix this, since it can be also
confusing for the reader, if several terms come up several times (>2) in
the TOC tree.

It also makes the information tree much more complicated, as it actually
is.

Is there a way to display under the first tag, by alpha, only? so the
tiddler link is shown under Concerpts, but not Reference, even though it
has both?

Something I've been missing lately is seeing some additional tags next to
tiddler links, like the mGTD used to do for Actions: "ActionName [P] [C]
[yellowPostIt]". That could be an alternative/additional solution to list
extra tags next to the tiddler link.

just some thoughts,
