Our Society has open elections for its President.  Unfortunately no
nominations have been received for 2018-20 and the post is now being
re-advertised. The closing date is 2359 on 26 April. If an election is
required, details will be published in the June edition of RadCom,

"RSGBTech is meant for everyone", or so the RSGB says. The group is
moderated 'to
ensure that the questions are on topic', but the group's own admissions
policy mention
(a pre-) 'vet', 'known', 'trouble', and 'maker', but not the vetting
policy! None of these are
'moderation' issues and none are mentioned in the RSGB's Guidelines.....

I didn't take out a foundation licence at the time, but, had I done so,
I am pretty sure it would have had zero effect on my self respect. I
think I would probably have blamed the regulator for not getting its act
together. Using an M3 callsign might have looked a bit silly to other
amateurs, but I think I could have lived with that without major
psychological trauma.

Somehow I don't think that's in the gifting of the office of RSGB

+1
+1st year of licence to be limited to 10W CW
that would help...we had it too easy .......
And what about the SWL log, didn't that used to be a requirement at some
stage?

Our Society has open elections for its President. Unfortunately no
nominations have been received for 2018-20 and the post is now being
re-advertised. The closing date is 2359 on 26 April. If an election is
required, details will be published in the June edition of RadCom,
available in mid-May. The current President Nick Henwood, G3RWF []
I'm going to apply then cancel all the Licences that were issued through the
FL .....and put class Bs back 70cm and above ........bring back 12wpm
requirement for HF and three hour written exam......that should sort things
out .....

Stephen Thomas Cole, CB/M0TEY does, apparently. He obsesses about it
almost as much as he does about his scrotum neck.
