and smiling. Quite a change.
Then you've apparently neither seen, read, nor heard about
the remarked upon camaraderie after other races this season.
Certainly a bit better than last year ;-)
That's because no toxic Rosberg.
(Was 'toxic' the word Wolff used to describe Rosbergs effect on the
team camaraderie in previous years? Or was in 'poisonous'?)
I don't think you'll find that Wolff quite said either of those things.
Yeah he did, to Sky but he may have been half-joking (but not completely).
I'm not going to re-watch every minute of Sky coverage for this season to
find it again - hence my questions. It was around the third race of the year
I think. Maybe Sochi or Spain.
Post by BigbirdI think that is a very poor understanding of the team
dynamics. It was a toxic atmosphere for sure but it is totally naive
to beleive that it was caused by any one driver.
Hey it was Toto not me. He said that Rosberg was so driven that inter-team
relationships took a back seat. He was sort of saying it as a back-handed
compliment - or as a consequence of Rosbergs drive. Ehh, I know I should
have bought it up here when it was broadcast but I figured probably half of
us saw it anyway and I didn't want to do the "I told you so" (because it's
what I'd alluded to on and off for the previous year or so).
So you're saying Toto has a poor understanding of team dynamics. Got it.
Post by BigbirdIt's also naive to think that the current dynamics cannot or will not
change.
Also I'm not saying that either.
Post by BigbirdBottas is snapping at Lewis's heels; he has settled into the
team and he is back in the fight.
Lewis is moody in the pen again.
Yeah but I think largely as a consequence of feeling let down by Vettel
then the gearbox penalty making him think of last years 'luck'. For the
start of this season he was reffering to him as "Seb" but this weekend he
started reffering to him a "Vettel" again. I get the impression he was
enjoying the more relaxed atmosphere between the top drivers this year and
that his bubble was burst by Vettel at Baku (then the g'box penalty) and
he's coming down to earth again.
