Post by Kenn CaesiusI could not help but comment the posters request for someone to level
their FFXI Character - did you reactivate the character you found as
well? When I left the game in 2006, everything above level 50 was a
horrible experience grind requiring days, weeks to move up one level -
and that is pending that gaining EXP is all you did.

Hello Kenn,
I started playing FFXI, on 3/1/2013, basically, on a goof. Joe
Kotch, one of the suppliers to Forbidden Planet bookstores has a
warehouse in Brooklyn, NY. The warehouse is normally closed to the
public, but he opens once a month. It's basically a miniaturized,
free-admission, all-weekend, monthly comic book convention. Although
parking can be a pain in the ass because it's heavily-industrialized
downtown Brooklyn, and there's a lot of parking restrictions there.
On one of my trips to the warehouse, I found the Final Fantasy XI for
Playstation 2, but it was incomplete. When I asked the warehouse
employee about the missing HDD and configuration discs, all I got was
a blank stare. When he told me he only wanted $5 for it I took it
since I knew I own a first-gen, backwards-compatible PS3. Once I got
it home, I discovered that the registration codes were unused. In the
eyes of Square-Enix, I am the first owner of the installation package.
It appears that whoever broke apart the original FFXI package was only
interested in the HDD & the configuration discs. Go figure that one
out
..
I was lucky enough to find a casual/social linkshell and the owner was
nice lady from the Bronx, not too far from me. I was lucky enough to
get a lot of help, especially with the level breaks that start at 50.
When she moved to a special endgame LS, she disbanded the old one,
leaving me out in the cold for a short time
Once I found a new
linkshell, I was able to get help again, now I have a WHM and RDM,
both at level 70... I was told that I should fight Maat as a WHM,
because it basically the easiest. But I'm really afraid to do that
fight, because I was told that if I lose twice, I'll automatically
lose the WHM Testimony. I don't want that to happen. That's why I
was hoping I could find somebody in the New York Tri-state region that
could come to my house & do the Maat fight for me.
If Tom was in my area, and could have done the Maat fight for me, I
would have *given* him the Dragon's Lair II disc....
Best Regards,
