Hello,

I am trying to do a cold restore for all DBSpaces from one Server to
another(both Linux 7.0). I did an
ontape -r
I mounted the tape
Continue restore?(Y/N) Y
Do you want to backup the logs?(Y/N) N

The first Checkpoints in online.log were made, but then onstat - gives
Fast Recovery(CKPT REQ) and no more Checkpoint is done. I waited more
than 1 hour. The database is about 2Gb.
Is there anything I can do to finish the restore?

Regards

No, The command did not.
Then in another session run 'onstat -D'. this shows the dbspace
status and any disk activity.

You can't and shouldn't do anything.

Just monitor with 'onstat' or 'vmstat' how the
restore process is going and wait, until online
status changes to 'quiescent' from 'recovery'

If 'vmstat' shows some CPU/disk activity during restore,
and onstat (-D, -p, etc) shows increments in IDS activity parameters,
everything is OK

Sounds like it is still going then. The restore process performs a
checkpoint at the end of each dbspace restored.
In my experience, the restore process takes about twice as long as the
backup process.
