Post by Alfalfa BillHow long until the Republicans in Congress decide that Trump has to go?
If he leaves before his term is up then the alternative is worse.
But the alternative is much less of a diversion than Trump is, which
means you'll be able to pay attention to what the administration is
actually doing.
I'm not sure what you mean by that. We may not like what the
administration is doing, but the continuous reporting on cable
networks and the newspapers allows one to know *what* is being
attempted by the administration. My reasons for saying the
alternative is worse can be summed up by the article about the Franken
interview in the IB Times that appeared in the Washington Post. Here
is part of it:

By Douglas Ernst - The Washington Times - Monday, June 19, 2017
Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota has a message for fellow Democrats who
yearn for President Trumps impeachment: Be careful what they wish
for; they just might get it.
Mr. Franken told the International Business Times on Monday that those
hoping that the FBIs investigation into Russias attempts to
influence the November presidential election will pave the way for
impeachment should consider Vice President Mike Pences policy
preferences.
Pence ran the transition and some of the very worst nominees, I felt
[Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott] Pruitt,
[Education Secretary Betsy] DeVos, [Health and Human Services
Secretary Tom] Price, [Office of Management and Budget Director Mick]
Mulvaney were Pence selections, clearly, I think, Mr. Franken said,
IBT reported Monday.
Hes ideological, I consider him a zealot, and I think that in terms
of a lot of domestic policy certainly would be worse than Trump, said
Mr. Franken, taking a break in Denver while promoting his book Giant
of the Senate to discuss work in Washington.
