Ture - though I fear Ocon's biggest threat is Perez. Checo was the bee's
knees until young Ocon showed up and is effectively trouncing him
(relatively speaking, especially considering experience levels).

Oh gods it seems Perez still thinks Ocon is going to get out of his way.
This interview smacks of arrogance and I see more trouble ahead for Force
India (unless the team take Perez' side and Ocon becomes downhearted - which
I'd hate to see as IMO he could well be the next 'great' driver).

As much as I like Bottas and think him to be a very good driver I hear he's
not had his seat confirmed for next year and Ocon *is* a Mecedes young
driver....

It seems Ocon's skill is clashing with Perez' money and causing problems for
FI. I notice Perez has toned down a bit and when in the bullpen is being
very pointedly recorded by a FI drone. (More pointedly and forcefully than
I've ever seen before anyway.) IMO Perez has found his level and is a good
midfield points scorer. Ocon is just passing through and is set for greater
things.

Of course, Ocon was the cause of Hamilton's non-victory

(and Perez. No FI clash means no RF, no out-of-car, therefore no
headrest complication.)

Yep. One could say the fault was Perez's. He bumped Ocon out of the way the
previous corner and with Bob Fernley saying they can race Ocon returned the
favour and because Perez didn't then back off (as Ocon had at the previous
corner) the whole mess unfolded.

Looking better this evening, for pole at least, since now Valtteri won't
have to outqualify Lewis:

So Vettel didn't just damage the diffuser, he damaged the gearbox as well -
and Hamilton gets penalised?
