Great moments: The Doctor's girlfriend scoffing at the idea of a BLACK doctor!

The kid Lattimer communing with the fob watch.

The headmaster demanding to know what's going on, before he metes out punishment.

The great Scarecrow Massacre.

The alien occupied girl vaporizing the headmaster, and everyone retreating.

Lattimer showing the girl the watch, when tells the aliens everything they need to know.

The aliens scanning everyone for the fob watch.

The Doctor (John Smith) not wanting to return to being a Time Lord and thus giving up his Earth love.

Lattimer returning the fob watch, and the Doctor/John Smith angsting over having to give up his humanity to save the world from the Family of Blood.

The flash forwards of the human Doctor's life as a human.

The Doctor bringing the fob watch to the aliens, and setting their ship to explode.

The Doctor wrapping Dad in dwarf star alloy chain, dumping Mom in a black hole, trapping Sister in a mirror, and turning the narrator in a scarecrow. But what if Sister finds a way to escape from the wold's mirrors?

John Smith's girlfriend refusing to become the Doctor's Companion. She doesn't think that a relationship with such a long lived man would work out, since she's like a mayfly to him. Such considerations would seem to be part of why the Doctor doesn't want to get involved with Martha.

At the end, the Doctor wraps the father of the Family of Blood in Dwarf Star Alloy. The son indicates that this is part of the Doctor's plan to punish all Family members with immortality. How do Dwarf Star Alloy chains make the father immortal?

The Doctor dumps Mom into a black hole. How does that make her immortal? From her point of view, she would die in seconds!

not indicating which of the two possibilities is correct.
The or is not exclusive.
The "or" *is* exclusive! You either have or clue *or* you don't have a
clue! Cannot be both!
Try again.
REcall X o Y is 1 not 0.
Try in English words, doctor.
But at least your reply gives me a chance to correct my previous
response ..... The "or" *is* exclusive! You either have a clue *or* you
don't have a clue! Cannot be both!
Ever heard of XNOR ?
Digital Arithmetic! AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XNOR. About thirty years ago!
Whoopee!!
What has that got to do with Tim's Question??
Back to the premise OR in english is INCLUSIVE unless otherwise
qualified.
Not, doctor, it is either one thing *OR* the other thing!
You are alive *OR* you are dead! Cannot be a bit of both!
Cannot be both!
Hence the correct statement is
You are alive *XOR* you are dead!
So, hang on! Up-thread, when you were questioned about your "REcall X o
Y is 1 not 0", you then asked "Ever heard of XNOR ?", but now you want
to use an *XOR* Gate!
Make up your mind!!
And then can you actually answer Tim's question "Is the boy in all
scarecrows universe-wide or just Earth's scarecrows?" correctly??
That is an X or Y question.
No, doctor, that is a question about which you haven't got a clue!!

Make up your mind!!
And then can you actually answer Tim's question "Is the boy in all

I was also asking if Red Balloon Girl is in all mirrors universe wide,

Universal.

I didn't get the idea they were being punished. They couldn't die, but they had
to be contained. So various forms of perpetual confinement.

I don't remember the details, but what I remember is that none could die. But if
left free they would continue to kill and harm others. So the Doctor had to
devise confinements that would last to end of all other life, not to punish the
family, but to protect rest of the universe.

Maybe, in general, but in *this* specific instance, Tim gave two
possibilities ....

1. Is the boy in all scarecrows universe-wide,

or

2. (Is the boy in) just Earth's scarecrows.

Now, admittedly Point 2 is a sub-set of Point 1 (so Point 1 includes
Point 2) but if the boy was only in scarecrows *just* on Earth (Point 2
correct), Point 1 is not correct!

So "Yes" *is not* the correct answer.

The Doctor dumps Mom into a black hole. How does that make her immortal?
From her point of view, she would die in seconds!
Real world answer:
From an observer's point of view she would be immortal, since those seconds
would stretch for an eternity.

Whoniverse answer:
Omega didn't die in seconds.

Tim Lattimir had snatched the Doctor's fob watch, which gave him a future vision of him looking at that watch on a battlefield and dodging an incoming shell. The Doctor lets Tim keep the watch after he (the Doctor) is restored to normal. Later during WWI, Tim looks at the watch, states the time, and dodges the shell. Was that the ONLY time Tim's life was in danger during the entire war?

future vision of him looking at that watch on a battlefield and dodging
an incoming shell. The Doctor lets Tim keep the watch after he (the
Doctor) is restored to normal. Later during WWI, Tim looks at the
watch, states the time, and dodges the shell. Was that the ONLY time
Tim's life was in danger during the entire war?
Maybe more.

The Doctor dumps Mom into a black hole. How does that make her immortal?
From her point of view, she would die in seconds!
From an observer's point of view she would be immortal, since those seconds
would stretch for an eternity.
Omega didn't die in seconds.
I am typing about the Family o Blood mother, not about Omega.
